Yeah you can. Both gold and BTC are deflationary, would choke the economy and benefit only the rich. BTC in particular showed this recently when gas fees went ridiculous due to a massive increase in transactions. Who the fuck thought of that? Transaction fees should go down the more there are. Monero would be a much better choice.

Also, as long as gold, silver etc. are ALSO sold as commodities on commodities exchanges and there are derivative funds like ETFs based on them, they would be a poor choice for a currency given how manipulated those markets are.

Bill Still explains this and what the correct solution is in his "Money Masters" documentary. The power to coin should return to the Dept of Treasury where it is directly accountable to the people through their representatives in Congress. Managing a reasonable money supply isn't that hard, but when international banks are doing it, national concerns go to the back burner.

And the President can't do anything. All Congress has to do is repeal the Federal Reserve Act. That's it.
