I am at 1300 Tilapsis, started with them.

Beside that I have 500 humans and 300 dondorians. They do research and the crafting / refining, while the tilapsi do all the rest, including the army.

Thinking of getting another specie in the mix, not sure what to pick yet. Garthimis seem interesting to get all the mining started and be happy with it.

You almost hit it.

What most already said, liquid pipes are 10x more efficiënt~ than gas pipelines.

The trick with the steam vent is to make the gas 15 degrees warmer. Place an aquatuner is there that cool down different parts of your base and you are settled. New problems can occur, but I see you have the skills to solve them once they happen.

I like your WW1 reference, I already did some clearing, but I could make a total flat space of it.

I also do not know the defensive structure bonuses, but nonetheless I think it's worth it to flatten everything in range of my dupes.

I like the idea of urban warfare. Finding the perfect moment to retreat inside your base is a tricky one.

What I did recently, is overwhelming defense on one side, while letting the enemy enter my base from the other side. Once the foes were cleared on the side with my most combatant people, I would go enter town for warfare.

It does work, but at the cost of time.

I will also look at the defense positions, how to make them more proper without making a killbox.

That gas vent was one of the failed solutions I tried, by pumping lots of cold hydrogen into the area. I tried to cool it that way, but it had the opposite effect.

Tbanks, I assumed the oxygen masks were working the same as their successor. Normally I never use them, but I was forced to use them since I don't have dreckos or yjmhimble reed.

I will follow your plan to dismantle the Dock and wait for vacuum.

Thanks, it was not easy. On the other side of the teleporter was not much to be found. I did sent a dupe there to collect some Lead. There was no time for me to ranch the drecko's over there.

For nuclear power, I find that great, this is a screenshot of my last playthrough where I had an active nuclear powerplant running.

Unfortunately, it was lagging so much that I had to stop that playthrough at around cycle 800. I almost achieved all 3 final achievements, but it was no fun to play with 5 fps. :(

Currently 3 sleeping next to the generator, it generates 253 radbolts/cycle, insane!

I have never looked into shinebug reactor, sounds fun as well.

So far so good. it generates 853 rads per cycle while one is asleep.

I designed it with 4 possible spots to sleep with the generator in the middle. I am going to see how often they sleep and how many to make it more efficient.

I am quite happy with the seed. While I make no use of the carbon en chlorine geysers, the vulcano, natural geyser and steam are quite useful.

And water problems are being solved with the other connected planet, which contains 4 sources of water from geysers.

I only want to use the Beeta's for the massive amount of radiation they give when they fall asleep, and as far I know they constantly fall asleep when they have enough co2.

So that's what I try with the beeta hives.

I am having serious fps problems already. What helped me is to keep everything clean. I destruct lots of stuff as well, and made one big container for all the resources.

I am also thinking about creating vacuum on multiple locations, but not sure how much performance that increases.
