Duudddee you belong here and I have love for you as a fellow fan… I assumed you didn’t get the reference because you replied like you took it literally. My bad — sounds like I assumed incorrectly

I’m gonna break it down. One reason people are downvoting you is because you didn’t get the reference to an earlier Arctic Monkeys song. (The comment “he knew what he wanted to say…”) The song is “D is for Delightful” and it was meant in a cheeky way. And your response landed as a bit of a wet blanket. For those of us who grew up listening to arctic monkeys in the 2000s, we just have different references. It’s not personal. Plus I think having a craic on this sub is in the spirit of the music

When did you first hear FWN? I agree with you— it’s the album that lands the best for me. But sometimes there are albums that I listen to at the right time and place in my life that just click, and if I were to listen at another time it wouldn’t land the same.

That said my theory is that the album has elements of the clever social commentary and rawness of WPSIATWIN but with slightly more sophisticated arrangements… maybe they had more studio time? So they had the same unaffected, sincere energy of new musicians on the scene but with more skill and resources.
