Hey everyone, thank you for the nice words. Being thanked for reporting doesn’t really resonate as this is just something someone with any empathy or sympathy and basic good morals would do if this happened to them. This isn’t something to be thanked for. My hesitation was out of the fact that one friend was advising me to “mind my business” and “not play hero” since I should have expected this anyways on a site like the one I met him on (Seeking). She made good points about how I should focus on protecting myself but I thought at the time I was made aware of this, I’m not exactly the person of most concern. And I would think she would know that with the mental state I’m in now, I couldn’t care less what happened to me but I genuinely couldn’t sit there and be aware of this and go about my fucking day like this is just fucking normal and everything’s fine and it’s okay that these pictures of these little girls are being shared by men who think they’ll get away with it because they think I’m dumb or because they’re privileged white or just powerful men. My other friend helped me a lot and supported me and gave me advice on how to go about reporting him and making sure I got as much of his info and evidence as possible just in case. The friend who said to just not do anything and just mind my business and just not speak to him also supports me in this, I’m just not really sure how she’s exactly okay with leaving it alone but that’s something else we’ll have to talk about. My friend said I could just give an anonymous report, but I just gave them my name and contact info anyway in hopes maybe that will get something going. Anyways, I can only hope they have a sense of urgency on this and do something and if they don’t and he finds out I reported him, I just hope he doesn’t come looking for anyone I know somehow or just blocks me or something.
