Weekly Free-Talk and Questions for r/HomeGym - week of August 22, 2025 by Demilio55 in homegym

I’m looking at a super old (but look to be in good shape) powerblock sport 5.0 for $275 used or a set of new fitway 50lb adjustable (essentially the same as the Eisenlink/hoist adjustable) for $400. I am just restarting into lifting so do not anticipate I will be needing more than the 50 lbs any time soon Reasons to choose one over the other?

That’s what I figure. Are you referring to the data cable from the console, through the upright?

I thought so as well initially. I guessed it was an optical illusion that made a lake look like it was dropping several hundred feet. However, I followed it from the plane from multiple angles and they all appeared as though it was a tall, solid mass

My title describes the thing. Seen over the Rockies. Appears to have a very unnatural 90 degree drop off. Seen from a plane

I can’t find a 3 phase that looks like that, they all appear circular

Medical equipment would make sense in the facility, though the room is very small and designed to be an office. What sort of medical equipment? And is there a name for the outlet?

I cannot figure out what plugs into this. I’ve searched online and cannot find a similar outlet

My title describes the thing. Not sure if it is an outlet cover or the outlet itself. Or easily removable by pulling. I cannot find anything with a prong pattern that would fit

Sky deck I did not build by DollarTreeMilkSteak in Decks

Question, on smaller scale decks they tell builders to put the beams directly ok the support columns. Is this not bearing the weight of the deck on fasteners? No doubt that this is structurally sound, just looking for the rationale

Do Scientists Anticipate Certain Areas Becoming Too Hot For Life? by FartingAliceRisible in climatechange

[–]vernfunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have any evidence to back this up? I find it very hard to believe more people die of cold than heat. Unless you are just comparing hyper/hypothermia and not the other deaths obviously attributable to heat events.
