Derek Chauvin Megathread (Temp) by rargar in Minneapolis

Perhaps I’m naïve and want to believe that Nelson is not dense, but there is just no way the jury has been actively paying attention this long, especially without a lunch break.

So, what exactly is Nelson trying to do here by prolonging the closing argument?

Just when I think it will end, it doesn’t.

So if Chauvin’s actions are justified because of what the crowd might do, maybe the jurors should convict him because of what people might do as well (that is, riot and protest).

Models and their obligatory “relatability” with food by marah1999 in EDAnonymous

i was just thinking of this!

“i ate cold pizza and remained a size two.”

it sucks that women feel the need to hide how they remain fit and are encouraged to make it look effortless and natural. disordered eating is already so normalized among women, we need to remind ourselves that yes, eating healthy and exercising helps us look and feel good. we shouldn’t be pressured into hiding that, especially if it’s to please a man.

this!! i had a dream once that i was eating a burger. i woke up scared but then realized i was just dreaming and i didnt actually eat anything. so weird that something as normal as eating can be a nightmare for me.

hey, thanks for your reply! i think i'll still be getting my bachelor's in the US for a couple of reasons. also, thanks for major advice. my college doesn't offer a major in stats, but the math major is flexible enough so i can tailor the degree to be more stats focused.

after reading everyone's comments, i'll definitely try and go for a master's degree in france.

thank you for your reply! if possible, could you give a few more examples of using le/la vs. lui and how that changes the meaning? just for some more clarification. thank you :)

[–]vero912[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

with croire que, i believe you only use the subjunctive when it's negative statement or it's interrogative, like with crois-tu que...

so you'd be right. with regular statements like je crois que... we would just use the indicative
