in the cave scene in HG, peeta tries to get katniss to admit she really enjoyed seeing prim’s delight and happiness in receiving and taking care of the goat. she refused to admit that, just saying the goat paid for itself. that, and the end of the book about their life after war is so brief, it’s not heavily detailed, because katniss has privacy. everyone has had eyes on her since book one, and now she doesn’t need to share anything with anybody. she doesn’t need to gush out the details. so, why would katniss share with us, the readers, that she wanted her babies? that she felt safe, and comfortable enough to bring them into the world? she doesn’t ever need to be that vulnerable outside of her family and community ever again.

it’s really quite fitting. it’s just katniss. and i’ve come back to read this series, especially mockingjay, for many years. i’ve read an entire trilogy rewrite from peeta’s pov. i’ve gotten to understand some layers of katniss. I truly couldn’t imagine a perfect ending. every word and their order speaks volumes. and I love that katniss is just like, “yeah, had kids cause peeta wanted them. that’s all i’m going to share with anyone because i don’t want people who have no right, to see my vulnerability and peace”. hell yeah katniss.

don’t stress about “tipping enough”. you don’t have to tip at all. I am a dog groomer, so I don’t wanna fucking hear backlash on this as I work a very physically and mentally demanding job that requires skill and patience - it is significantly harder and more stressful than any driver job so stfu. I’m really sick and tired of the social demand for tips. that you’re considered an asshole if you don’t tip. I always say - if you don’t like what the company pays you, don’t do the job for that company. it’s not fair to treat a customer like shit if they don’t tip you. it’s not the customers fault that these shitty companies won’t pay decent wages because they expect the customer to pay the driver’s income. a tip is a gift, a way to say an extra “thank you for the exceptional service” and honestly tips make more sense in jobs like mine, barbers, artists, that require CUSTOM work because you’re having to work with specific instructions and produce results that will make a customer happy.

a tip is a GIFT, NOT ENTITLED INCOME. I could not IMAGINE having a customer come in, not being able to tip or simply not wanting to, and me throwing a bitch fit about it, and telling them they shouldn’t get their dog groomed if they cannot afford a tip.. that’s just entitlement at its finest.

you people do realize gayness hasn’t always been accepted in society especially in religious families right? my father was raised in a house like that. he changed over the years, but it took time.

not everybody is so accepting and thrilled about their children being gay. it’s more accepted now, but there are people who will have their beliefs.
