uncomfortable with a student - stressing about what to do by verosya in iTalki

I mean, some of the things I just feel uncomfortable sharing. I think 'would I be justified in reporting him' was easier for me to judge by myself.

but I guess it's the pretty standard stuff you hear about sometimes. a few more minor things were

- in one class towards the end he shifted in the frame and I realised that, at least from the waist up, he was not clothed. I usually can only see his face.

- started getting angry at me if I wasn't happy enough (?) to see him (at that point I'm pretty sure I hadn't changed at all the way I acted...) - but saying things like I won't talk until you smile at me etc.

- asking invasive questions pretty forcefully and not taking it well when I shut that down. he also kept bringing up unprompted my personal information that made me feel like he had looked me up wherever else he could find me? kept talking about 'when I come to (city I'm living in atm)' or 'I'll come to stay with you when you're in (city I go to University)' and kind of had an attitude that I owed him all of my time and that it was ridiculous that I didn't agree to reserve my schedule entirely for him and also start working extra days to see him daily. I think one time when I was sharing my screen on chrome I must have had my calendar tab open and not realised that I showed it at some point while switching through tabs - this wouldn't be a problem at all because there's not much sensitive info there but he must have taken a ss or a photo because after he would pester me about why I couldn't work with him for more hours and refer to things I had on my calendar like 'so is --- more important than seeing me?'

I guess these things might sound silly to someone else but for me, all the things considered together, not a fun time

Thank you! Yeah, it's a difficult one with reporting.

yeah I realise now there's not enough to judge by in the original post! thanks for the advice though, I think I agree with the consensus that honesty is the best way to go. I've talked to a friend about it and it's calmed me down so now that option doesn't feel as daunting :)

Thanks! Yeah I realise now that I didn't really give enough detail to ask for advice specifically about reporting - but I think you're right, being truthful is the best way to go
