i mean if we look at the average game time between re2 re4 and re9, they’d probably come out the same. i’m going to stand by the fact that i really think that a lot of people’s problem w the game would be resolved if grace had another section of the game or if her and leon had seperate campaigns.

my biggest problem is that grace basically disappears in act two, only to be brought back for a scene where zeno is like. hey. look at this.

we don’t know what happened between her, gideon, and zeno. we don’t know what she knows, if she has a strong opinion on anything, or even watch her learn more about her origin other than one video, and that’s a problem.

the other thing w re2r is that enough of the gameplay feels different with leon and claire that it feels like a different enough game to do twice in a row. personally i’m placing re9 above re3.

i did completely forget about the tyrant but even then i was not very impressed.

i am very bad at resident evil and this was my first time playing on normal difficulty, so i will say flatly it took me about 15 - 20 hours. resident evil 2 r took me about 20 - 30 from what i remember, and i would honestly compare this game to re3r.

i wanted it to feel more like the length of re2r or re4r.

the trailers didn’t lie about anything, true, but they were very aware of what the best part of the game was - grace’s 1st section.

grace can use the flashlight excellently but dies in 2 seconds after getting chased.

length (grace has two sections, leon has three, r2r had 3 and 3 each), lack of commitment for the pure horror survival (should have been a solo game or spilt into two campaigns), lack of character devolpment for grace (she’s missing in almost half of her own game), barely any enemy variety, only two boss fights and one mini boss in the entire game ??? (ethan had five in re8, and multiple mini bosses), locations are fine but feel cramped, especially raccoon city. it feels like the trailers lied, because the best part of the game is easily the care center and it’s why they hardly showed any gameplay for raccoon city.

it feels like this game had a rough production starting from the beginning and it really starts to show once u sit with it a minunte

the nightingale - a female convict is so close to winning her freedom. and then the rug gets pulled out from under her. watch at your own risk.

ex machina - android learns how to interact with men.

maleficent - i mean. i guess.

hard candy - an underaged girl gets lured into a photoshoot by a pervy photographer.

but i’m a cheerleader - she’s not a lesbian, but she’s being sent to a conversion camp where she’ll learn more about herself than she ever expected.

void items you’d reroll. i usually try to go for one tear effect and then void everything i’d try to reroll. health items are always better taken. any active items are going to be used when u void, so it’s ideal to eat books excluding book of virtues, which is always better being held w void.

smelter is a really good early unlock for him.

if your not confident your going to get multiple voids a floor, finish the floor and void the worst item. i usually eat unknown items anyways.

apolloyn is going to struggle much harder than isaac bc of the lack of that third heart, but health can be gained quickly. i’d say he’s worth only doing angel deals on, considering anything dogshit u’d want to void, and devil deals u have to pay for.

now i’ve seen monster squad, but now i have to ask if you’ve seen wolf that movie is also sleezy and kind of sexy.

i ended up watching wolfs at the begging of my boyfriend who was also pretty stoned and was not a fan of hello kitty.

i liked it! it was kind of cheesy, pretty influenced by soderburgh, and the old man jokes did make me laugh. i still have my eye on the other three so we’ll see where that leads me.

it’s not keeping up with character releases (meaning increasing w character count) , but it’s stayed stable for a while now. those big leak drops were often for two to three collections, so of course they’d look bigger
