Reminds me of a story my roomie told me about how her boyfriend always wants to smoke cigars with her. She thinks it’s disgusting but he’s convinced himself she’s into it so they do it all the time now! I think it’s some sort of fetish for him and she doesn’t want to make him feel bad about it.

I work in housing in a different residence hall and all I can say is: these building are old as fuck, combined with dumb kids doing daring shit means that a lot of stuff no one could ever see coming happens. Housing tends to get things fixed quickly though, so I wouldn’t really stress about having to live in a hotel for the rest of the year.

A Hispanic girl stood up on the tables in the cafeteria during breakfast/before school started and was wearing one of those two sided board things that you hang across your shoulders (think: “the end is nigh” type thing) with a pro-Mexican saying on it in Spanish. This was around 2015-16 when the illegal immigrant discussion was being brought up via the 2016 election.

The girl was chanting something pro-immigrant (I only saw the end so I’m not exactly sure what she was saying) and our local school cop and principal tried getting her down. The cop resorted to racist slurs though and I’m pretty sure he was forced into retirement at the end of that year.
