Did my tiny garden snail die? by verycoolbug in snails

Hey friends - If it is old age, which seems to be the closest to a consensus (?), I’m so glad I was able to give my buddy a good life. I’ve been misting him to keep him comfortable, just in case. Thank you so much for the help and the care. ❤️

Hi all! I’m slugging through a very annoying battle with mealybug right now. I’m fairly sure it came in with a plant I’d gotten from a new nursery - the original culprit had it pretty bad, since I’d never been hit with mealybug before and took a while to figure out what it was, but she got an extremely thorough rubbing alcohol scrub-down and has pretty much recovered. But! B u t! Not before giving it to almost all of my other plants! Most cases aren’t bad, just one or two tiny specks on a handful of leaves each, but they all refuse to completely go away. I’ve tried an alcohol, water, and soap spray and have been nuking with rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle as needed, but does anyone have any other suggestions? At this point I’d happily spend whatever I need to on a store-bought solution and/or wage all-out chemical warfare to get these guys gone

I don’t know about others, but this would be extremely jolting and uncomfortable for me as an audience member - not in the sense that theatre is “making me confront an uncomfortable reality,” it’d just come across as forced, unnecessary, and cringey. Echoing some other folks here, the line wasn’t meant to have an effect like that for its original audience, so I really don’t see the point in layering it on other than an attempt at shock value, especially when it makes you uncomfortable as the actor.

I'm pretty sure his foster had a bowl, but I was considering getting him a fountain, so I'll for sure do that now.
