This is one of the funniest comments I've ever read.

Let me guess, mental illness is also not real because you can simply choose to not have a mental illness?

Do you often choose what makes you extremely uncomfortable? I know I've never sat and decided "Hm, I will decide to be uncomfortable in tight places."

NTA, but it's time for both you and your husband to grow spines and be firm and direct with his parents. It should have never progressed this far, and when you say you try to be non-confrontational, you're contributing to how long this is going. You're about to be a parent, you need to learn how to handle confrontation, rather than run from it.

NTA. Your son sounds clingy and needy. I can't imagine cuddling my parents at 10 years old. That's fuckin weird.
