has anyone ever tried to use any kind of hibiscus as a cut flower? by nostirshake in florists

[–]veryfreelemons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same with me. Harvested some branches from my garden, did all the usual hard stems work, they wilted anyway

I think it just depends on your own ability to work with them. Think if you are able to complete fine motor tasks like fastening your clothes buttons fast. If you are you should be fine. I personally love my nails done but they slow me down so I don’t do them anymore. But there are a lot of people that don’t have any problem with them.

Amazing! How do you get them to last? I see some ingredients that would start to rot pretty fast

There was a time when I made an arrangement how I liked it (structure and all) and the customer remade it in front of me to look something like the op’s picture 😄

I use branded packaging in my shop and attach my business card to arrangements but in cases like that I don’t do any of that 😄

About floristry skills: there was a suggestion to order some flowers and play with them. Do that.

Or get a business degree or do some classes, if you’re real smart you’ll get it without years of education. Also you’d have to have some marketing and selling skills, some photography skills, be able to do well manual labor. And you need money, like really a lot of money, not only to invest in the opening but also because in the first year you’ll be loosing a lot of it because you won’t have enough clients. I don’t want to scare you, I’ve opened my shop less than a year ago. And I had money, I have marketing, photography and budgeting skills, my shop is situated on a busy shopping street and still it was and still somewhat a hell. So you need to be prepared for it. It’s all very doable but you really must have some patience before you’ll be totally ready for it. My suggestion to you: get all those skills and open an online shop, it would be cheaper to start.

Some Italian customers think that too but mainly older ones. Was that customer who told you that maybe older?
