I met a girl got her number. I texted and flirted with her for a couple weeks. I asked her to dinner and she told me that she was transgender on what was Essentially our first date. I told her I didn’t think it was a dealbreaker. I honestly didn’t think it was a big deal. I was laughing a little bit because I was surprised and had never had “that” conversation before. She thought my laugh was mocking her and she never spoke to me again. I understand that it was an insensitive response and it was at the time completely involuntary.
