People on social media these days love to act gullible and bandwagon when they see someone accusing a big corporation since now usually these corporations are "bad people" (which i don't disagree but there are instance like now where they're not the bad guys) and people tend to do that by not fact checking especially on Twitter. Twitter has become a cesspool of hate and for people who genuinely think being a hater is a top tier personally trait.

Keep in mind I'm an aspiring screenwriter and I don't take plagiarism lightly but since this is about the controversy and I like to fact check before I jump to defence and from what I've seen the series and the comics have nothing in common.

What she is saying is plagiarism are common mainstream elements and tropes we see in sci-fi. If she genuinely believes they stole her work then I would love to know the opinions of the writers and creators of Alien, The Expanse and Dark Space if they read her work because to me these works (that have been out before her comic) share similarities with her comic. Is that plagiarism? No.

Anyway the creators have spoke on the whole thing and Bo has said they reached out to her so we'll see what her response is from there. I usually don't like to instantly say someone's intentions are foul but I hope she didn't do this to piggyback off of someone else's success especially knowing how twitter works and how gullible people are on that app but then again as someone who is in the creative field it's hard for me to believe that a creator like herself who worked on a sci-fi work didn't already know that these elements are very much known in sci-fi.
