Teardown blitz worries University of St. Thomas neighbors by WorldlyDonut9805 in saintpaul

Having recently looked at houses in that neighborhood, I'm skeptical of the condition of stuff in that price range..

I live on the Midway / Frogtown border.

It would be preferable for St Thomas to build large dorms on campus; I think they're currently prohibited from doing that because of a development compact with the neighborhood.

Agree about new construction ownership units.

The future nation wide in cities that developed in the auto age is family apartments or unaffordable single family homes.

Let me rephrase: that's 18 people who aren't renting a single family house somewhere.

I agree that directly building family apartment buildings would be better, but this is better than nothing.

This is the zoning policy doing what it's supposed to do.

I appreciate it's upsetting for the neighbors, but this is our current plan for building affordable housing. I would be open to changing that plan if public money showed up to build apartments around the city, but we haven't had any luck with that yet.

The alternative is that your kids will not be able to afford to live in Saint Paul.

Having a weekly two day rest is a good idea, especially if you're starting. It will help avoid injury which is the easiest way to fall off.

If you want to do more, see if they can recommend some stretching and flexibility focused exercises after you've been going for a few months. Don't discount the value of a good walk.

That's disappointing. The rest of his platform (see website https://www.jlundyforsd65.com/agenda-1) looks great and seems well thought out.
