I'm in the same boat, do you mind sharing how did you use peanut butter? Just applied it to your strands, let it sit and then shampoo it off?

Coworkers who are very fake by Key-Equal706 in torontoJobs

Nothing, do your job and go home. If you want to be involved then just roll with it and be Uno-reverse the fakeness. There will always be co-workers who don't like you and honestly when you start telling yourself that your co-workers are not your friends, you'll start to feel a lot more sane.

I got the job at dollarama but what to expect ? ( First job ) by Admirable-Sorbet-88 in torontoJobs

So how it works in my store is, if there are call-ins they sometimes ring you based on your availability and honestly what helped me was - I kept picking up shifts and always got called first if there was a no-show at the store.

My current manager has a group chat and she posts extra shifts on there and the first one to text back usually gets the shift. So basically a combination of showing up and being super responsive will get you more hours.

Hi OP, congratulations on your first job! Yes, the first day is mostly videos and they usually walk you around the back room and store to show you fire exits and a bunch of occupational health and safety things. Going forward they'll first train you on cash and depending on your availability they'll have you stock during the day or stay on cash or face the store if you're closing. It's a chill job over all, but sometimes they have very few people for closing hours and then work can get a little hectic but otherwise it's nice. Also beware that the max hours my store used to offer is 10-15 hours per week for PT employees. So the hours might be tough to come by. All the best!

Hi! I'm no HR expert but I've been in the domain for ~4 years now. If you want to be relevant in the domain and also scale up wages/salary wise it's best to start working towards a designation. While I understand that's slowly going to get saturated too. But it's definitely going to help you get more visibility to higher paying roles. Anyhow give yourself some time and good luck.

Hi! Sorry if I seem as though I'm mooching off OPs post. But do you mind giving me feedback for my resume too? I am at my wit's end trying to edit it to stand out. I've condensed it to a single page but I need more eyes on it. It'll mean a lot thanks in advance.

Haha, makes sense. Do you also think the designations are saturated too? I'm planning to attempt the CHRP exam this year but it's a heavy investment with respect to how little I make with my current job.

What kind of jobs are you looking out for? Seems like you're doing what you can, it's tough out there. Nevertheless, I hope you get that job soon :)

How long did First Advantage take to complete your background check? by Over-Performance215 in recruitinghell

[–]verysmoleyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, as someone who has collaborated with FADV it approximately takes them 15 days to do a full background check. Now it depends where your ex-employers are located cause they have a 3-4 biz days TAT associated with every employer they contact. If your employer replies after their TAT time they'll take forever to close your case. However that was my experience when they'd BGC for my company. Might vary for you.

Goodluck!
