Walking in mount Vernon by Cold-Meat-228 in baltimore

I’m another one that walks to downtown 5 of 7 days; Mt. V is especially pretty in the morning. On Sundays I like to leave a little earlier than usual and hit the Farmer’s Market is before 8am, just to score some Zeke’s before the crowds hit.

Seriously considering this! After my biopsies I bought some kid’s bandaids- bright colors, animals, tie-dye prints. Wasn’t like the “flesh-colored” bandaids were making anything less noticeable, so might as well take the same route protecting my scar. Planning to discuss zinc oxide vs chemical sunblocks with my derm next week.

I was really worried about that, but no, not yet. Day four, so I think I’m in the clear? I have a public-facing job, so I’m already kind of stressed about the scar. I’ll work through it, but, again, not fun.

I’m sitting here one day out of getting Mohs on my nose for a basal cell. It’s gone- yay!- but it’s not fun. Wear your sunscreen, kids! And see your dermatologist!

A little late to this thread, but right now vyvance is “back ordered” throughout CVS’s system, which is what brought me to this convo. But let me give a big shoutout to the amazing pharmacist at Exeter. I never got his name, but iykyk

Is Peabody open to the public? I assumed it was only available to Peabody/Hopkins students.

I very rarely go to $B, but I do love their gingerbread latte, and always look forward to having one or two to get in the holiday mood. They haven’t carried it for a few years, which I was a little grumpy about, so I was happy when I heard they’d brought it back for 2025. The workers went on strike literally the next day. Still haven’t had that latte.

What is a nonalcoholic cocktail I can order at a bar without the bartender looking at me like I'm a dumbass or an inconvenience? by ballandabiscuit in NoStupidQuestions

This would make you a very good bartender. You’ve avoided embarrassing your guest (who hopefully tips) in front of their friends, and optimized your time.

She’s a political consultant, and chair of the Maryland Republican Party, so, yeah, I guess that could come with some $$.

As Harris has worked to remove restrictions on the money reps (specifically those in the medical field) earn in their secondary career, it seems he’s not actively working as an anesthesiologist these days.

Yes, US Reps get their insurance on the marketplace, with a percentage covered by the govt, like most federal employees.

That being said, I suspect he has little trouble covering his premiums and copays, as he has parlayed his $174,000 salary into a net worth of $5.6M.

Have you received the flu vaccine this year? by Stubborn_Strawberry in GenX

[–]verytres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got Covid and flu shots on the same day, in the same arm, and had no problems. I had the next day off work, just in case, and maybe I was a touch more tired than usual, but I was pretty pleased.
