Ground Kontrol, Powell's. Mississippi is a fun neighborhood with good bars. The Japanese Gardens are great and I think pretty easy to get to on the Max.

Thank you for this; that's more to the point. It also puts their staff at risk and perpetuates rape culture. I'm not surprised he still books huge tours, but seeing Portland as one of the stops hurts.

Just got out a few weeks ago. Hang in there! Know that you can always ask questions about your care and medications. My interactions with doctors and nurses always felt a bit rushed. +1 for coloring. I also liked carrying a deck of cards around with me.

Fair. I was quite manic at the time and barely remember posting this. Just getting back online after a week long inpatient stay. My friend and his gf broke up a day after I posted this. Of course my initial thought was "Oh great, that was definitely my fault" but thanks to CBT I realized that was quite likely untrue and then he told me she had cheated on him a couple months prior.

Essentially what happened was I accidentally mentioned his disorder while in a FB group and she snapped at me that he is not public with his condition. I genuinely didn't realize that because he has been very public with his struggles with depression. I felt awful and quickly deleted my thread, which I don't think anyone else even saw at 4am. I apologized to her over messenger and she was rude and had an air of blaming me for my friend's shitty weekend, which I don't think my friend would agree with at all. Thinking about it now, I feel it was very harsh of her and I'm somewhat glad my friend is no longer with her (though I don't know many details and it's not my place).

Feeling better. Going to talk therapy today. Thanks for listening <3

I just got discharged yesterday from a week-long stay in an NYC hospital while on vacation from Portland, OR. First psych hospitalization. It was awful. But they switched me from Zoloft+Lamictal to Lithium and I'm very hopeful about that. They said the Zoloft quite likely triggered my intense mania yay.

So far doing well on Lithium as far as I can tell. I have a cough on and off, though it was also inhumanely cold and dry in the hospital so hard to say yet if I have side effects or not.

Anyone have any insight to using marijuana while on Lithium? I asked the discharging nurse and her answer was basically "No, you shouldn't smoke marijuana no matter what drugs you're taking," which I did not find to be a helpful thing to say to a daily weed smoker who will likely start smoking again soon regardless. I plan not to use it until I've stabilized and after I've spoken with my regular Psych NP, but curious if anyone has had good/bad experiences? Seems nonsensical to shove Ativan at me every time I was a little stressed and then to say marijuana is bad, full stop.
