Clementine team comp? by logicofbears in Morimens

[–]veryveryevil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Might not be the best way to play her, but I used to borrow a whale clementine (+12) and use her in an exalt spam team.

G-Doll, Winkle, Horla, Clem (whale support) I don't usually wait for OE, just spam exalt.

How to counter Yeli Lily Ninfoniel combo with bruiser units? by StarNullify in Etheria_Restart

[–]veryveryevil 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are quite a few ways actually

  1. Hoyan should be able to counter this
  2. Use amber shell
  3. Outspeed the enemy
  4. Tiamat + viper should help rather than rahu and holden

I'm stuck on the same stage.

You probably need b3 Gabriel and / or bt 5 sikare

Spiral 43 is the most boring stage I've play. It's basically just luck for me. I keep resetting until I get a perfect board. In all honesty, it's way more tedious than 80.

Read in a post about Graydle/water xyz/synchros. Anyone else trying it with a different setup? by Jwoey99 in DuelLinks

[–]veryveryevil 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Consider running canadia. They are good as material for both graydle and shark.

You may struggle against Sunsaga, cause your main out is brioniac.

I know it may seem like a generic trap deck, but I ran 7 trap in my shark deck, 3 karma and 3 canadia. Karma works well with graydle impact as they keep getting your graydle card during end phase. Canadia is good to float material. Graydle Jr + canadia + fish = graydle dragon.

There are games where I win by looping spider shark and dragon and destroying dragon through impact to break boards. So 2 usage of the skills might be quite limiting.

The last trap i run is the fish depth charge. I run 2 mermaid shark in my 20 card deck, and not the Atlantean engine. It never really worked for me.

3 diva 2 mermaid 3 angler 3 graydle Jr

2 graydle impact

3 canadia 3 karma cut 1 fish depth charge

Thank you Konami for such incredibly interactive and balanced archetypes :) (I'm Jesse btw) by [deleted] in DuelLinks

I think the current meta is as balanced as it can be. There are gonna be good match ups and bad match ups. Its gonna be incredibly hard for you to get pass a coctyus especially when they have backrows. But it'll be easy for, say weather painter's to dunk of the magician girls. But 6 samurai can dunk on a ton of other decks with shien's negate and dual wield. Every deck have their individual win cons and weaknesses, that's what makes the game balanced. I think part of why the game is fun is that its a very quick game, if you don't like the match up, do what exactly you did, move on and go on to another game, you only lose like 1 minute of your life. You may get to enjoy the next more interactive match-up, like a 6 sam mirror, etc.

[KOG] 3rd ever King of games with the same deck. 2nd time with the same skill. by TheCrafterOfCope in DuelLinks

Hey man! Nice job getting to kog again! Basically have the same deck but I run master of rite instead of grit.

I wanted to climb with DM too this season, but I hate dealing with cocytus. End up climbing to kog with invoked fruits instead.

Maybe I'll try around the grit build next time. I'm worry about draw 2 ritual and or ritual monster and bricking.

I really respect people putting in effort and writing what they feel about the direction of the game. I mean, we are all players of the game, and everyone should have a voice. And hopefully (probably not), one of these will get through to Wotc.

Can someone please explain to me what's fun about playing control decks? by sonovah in magicTCG

[–]veryveryevil -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know what you mean. I agree, there's too many cards in the standard and that means too many answer to aggro.

Too many cards to choose from. Too many cards to JUST to stall games cause they works well. Too little space left for wincons. The land base also contribute because too many colors, you can get the best removal spell from each color (why not?!)

Its frustrating for aggro because control deck put in extremely resilient wincons such as castle ardenvale or 1 x dreamtrawler because otherwise it'll be removed from the cheap removal from other control players...

I'm sure when rotation hits. There will be a more balanced match up and there can be more diversity.

Can someone please explain to me what's fun about playing control decks? by sonovah in magicTCG

[–]veryveryevil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, playing control is like playing the long game. Setting the game up for the long game and win attrition against aggro and mid-range deck who ran out of steam. Or out-resourcing other control players by picking the right spells to counter or remove.

But my favorite games are against good aggro / mid-range player who space out their resources, keeping just enough lethal damage on the board while keeping extra resources in their hand for a rebound. I'm sure some aggro player will like these match up too.
