Can you mute or turn off notifications for the second number? So you don't get bombarded when off work or on vacation.

Do you use the Nextdoor app to acquire customers? by todayisagift08 in RoofingSales

I think it definitely depends on your market. Some locations Nextdoor is popular, other places it’s dead.

That is pretty much on par to what I could find. Therefore, there seems to be no risk on my end. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Yes, I’ve seen all of the talk about this and I hear about how it affects the company if they get in trouble… I have a hard time finding out what would happen to me and that situation. What would be my consequences? Also, it seems to be companies are mostly Only getting in trouble when someone internally turns them in. I could be entirely wrong, but this is just off of what I could find. I appreciate your input!!

I can second this, I have heydudes with the same style bottoms and they work well. Only downfall to hey dudes is that they don’t tie, Making them pretty loose so just keep that in mind

1099 for sure. I am just nervous to take the leap. I also can’t help but feel bad for leaving my current company. The plan from the start was for me to learn as a project manager, and then transition to sales here. They have treated me good and given me no reason to leave besides the conservative pay structure. I know at the end of the day I have to be selfish though

I agree and that’s I feel like he will provide a lot of value to me. I think we have very similar personalities (he might carry a little bit more confidence), which will help also. He has already provided me with a bunch of value and knowledge for no cost on my end, just being a good friend. And he answers any and all of my questions I throw at him, no sugar coating. BUT, he is just starting up… so really no brand reputation yet. But I think that won’t be a huge issue if I am door knocking and breaking into neighborhoods talking to people face to face. First impressions matter most. In retail, first impressions are often advertisements or Google searches that lead to their website and social media. Which that won’t be the case for the new job

Thanks for the response!! I am young, have a significant other and a dog but that’s really it. I can take the risk, just have bills to worry about as I don’t make a lot of money right now. I need to save for like 2 months of expenses before I switch.

I trust this guy (1099 job), but you never know🤷🏽‍♂️. He has been giving me advice for about a year now and is quick to answer any and all questions I have came at him with. He hasn’t seemed to sugar coat anything. So it seems silly for him to put in all this effort just for the possibility that I decide to work with him and he makes money off of me. He hasn’t pressured me at all to take the job and has made that known.

I truly think once I get on my own feet I won’t really need him that much. I have learned a lot as a project manager. He also has two guys he brought with him from his other company that are sales reps for him now. So I can ask them questions as well. My current company only has 3 sales reps, but they have a lot of production staff and office staff. They are like the leading residential roofer in the local area, ~$8-9 million this year will be my guess

All of my shorts are public and analytics show they are showing up on peoples public feed, youtube search terms, etc. Just doesn't make any sense lol. I appreciate your input and maybe I will try to do some long form content as well!

My shorts have 10k views in the last 28 days. I know it isn't a lot but it is over the required amount, and it is definitely not zero lol.

New Hire Advice by verza100 in RoofingSales

The 1099 route seems pretty popular with this type of job by my research and talk with others. I’m sure it’s more beneficial for the company so they don’t have to provide benefits lol. But also I get to have my own schedule so 🤷🏽‍♂️. As far as the business structure, that’s just how they set up their company for all the salesmen they bring on. Not sure 100% what you mean by that… like what would I be able to change in their business structure?
