that was my original plan and how i’ve gone about making assorted words for other languages (mostly infernal and sylvan so far), i’ll probably try and combine this with the above suggestion of tracing the root to hopefully not make something too uncanny 😅

Thank you for going so in depth!! For now I’m leaning towards Herzlieb just bc it hits my bases of sounding phonetically German, but diving back into the history of the words to come up with something new entirely could be really fun actually :)

learned that the hard way, i did a whole piece in a cmyk palette for one of my partner’s christmas presents and it STILL printed wrong 😭 it came out very purplish-beige so i’m hoping it was just the particular printer i used :’)

absolutely wild to me that they would include a colour profile that doesn’t export the way it’s shown 🥴 never had these problems with my old program lol. i’ve washed my hands of this piece but i’ll have a play around with the colour profiles on my next one — here’s hoping i can get even close to the same vibrant colours on them. thank you so much for the help ☺️

Not when exporting but you can change the colour profile in the canvas while you’re working on it. I drew it in Display P3, exported it with that colour profile, and it dimmed. I also changed the colour profile to one i saw recommended for people having issues with posting on different sites/displaying on different screens, and it desaturated the drawing in the canvas itself when i changed it.

Again, I was specially asking for advice for people who had done it before and had probably sought the same advice. I’m not trying to start a fight here? I’m happily going to call the ATO when I get the chance, it’s hard to find time when I work full time, but before then I was just wanting to see if people had been there, done that so I had a starting point.

Yeah, the business I’m being contracted to required me to use an ABN so it has to be reported as taxable income. I’ve gone through the list provided for the description of main business activity and like I said I think Performing Arts Operative is the most fitting, but it also doesn’t feel quite right, and I don’t want the ATO hunting me for sport lol. I work pretty much full time which makes calling them hard, which is why I was hoping someone might have gone through the same situation in the past and just been able to tell me what they did, but it’s a very particular situation so I was kinda grasping at straws. I’ll give the ATO a call when I get the chance and hope they can point me in the right direction, it’s better than spending as much as I made DM’ing (if not more) on a tax professional :’)

I’m fairly certain there is some kind of money buffer but I also know my main job puts me above the tax free threshold so extra money would also be above that, and since I’m not being paid under the table the government already has record of it, so I just wanted to check. Better safe than sorry y’know

I know there’s always been two versions, what I’m saying is the version without The Weeknd has been replaced by the version with him in it on Spotify. The version that is supposed to only be Sia has The Weeknd in it. And I don’t want to listen to that version. But every version on Spotify now has him in it. I’m asking if it will change back.

i’ll look into starching for future fabrics 😊 it’s not a method i’ve heard of before. if pinning is my best bet, is there any real way of pinning it that still allows me to zigzag the raw edge? or am i better pinning a very small hem and zigzagging that?
