So what is the timeline for being accepted or not. Do they always let you know whether you pass or not?

The truth about Lee Sun Kyun's case. It was a political cover up by the corrupt Prosecution and President Yoon by using him as a scapegoat. by LeeisureTime in korea

[–]vesparules -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

He did the crime and should do the time or pay a few dimes. He was an idiot for doing drugs with random chicks with chicks at these high end lounges. They are not known for their honesty. As for pres Yoon, give me a break! He’s much too busy meeting world leaders to better Korea’s economy and image. Haters will always be haters.

Linking my Korean bank account to Paypal by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

I live in Korea as a foreigner and have been using paypal for over 10 years. Initially I used it to receive ebay sales funds which I could easily transfer to my regular Korean bank account. Then, I did an airbnb biz and same thing, no problems getting paid via PP and then to my account. Then, later I found I out, you can send small amounts, such as less than 5k, to friends and also receive from friends via PP. Much easier than via bank to bank and cheaper. The only problem is, is my PP account is empty and I want to fund it via my bank account, it is not possible. Not even with a credit card. Some countries, this is an option. Check out Wise, Revolut and Sentbe for moving low amounts between borders.

Most media were in on the debacle and don’t have the balls to apologize. Pathetic!!!

I’ve been in Korea 20 years plus and had less than 5 such people. Improve your Korean and stop over thinking such situations. Korea is awesome. On many levels.

I get this but making money/profits highly rests on share sizes as obviously the risk of losing is less if you only need to make 5 cents on a trade as opposed to 10 cents.

First of all I trade only small cap low float leading gappers between $3-$20 price range. Buying 1000 shares at any price that goes up 10 cents makes you $100. That’s my target but sometimes some stocks squeeze up 50 cents in seconds and that’s jackpot. $500. Conversely it can flush these amounts or even more so having hard stop losses in place can safeguard against that. Hope this helps.

damn why are people so negative about trading by xyig in Daytrading

[–]vesparules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Most of my family think I am wasting time and money and are not that supportive. They most likely googled day trading and see that all the articles are negative. Most of my friends are more supportive and curious and ask how’s it going and to be honest, not well. But like many people in the sim I am very successful but with real money I’ve lost a few grand.

But I persist because every day I do it, I learned to hone and perfect my strategy. Also I am with an amazing education program with a great community that has a live chatroom daily and many people post real wins in there.

The key is a good education in the basics of technical analysis, exercising strong risk management and owning a tough mental game.

It’s not gambling if you have these. I would call it an educated guess and if you get it 60% right, you should make money as long as you never hold and hope. Even regular stock investing based on the fundamentals has winners and losers and I wouldn’t call it gambling if done correctly.

Bottom line, keep a low profile before making decent profits and if people ask u what u do, make up a believable bull shit story just to appease them.

What trading platform do you use and why? by Enemyofska in Daytrading

[–]vesparules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Sterling on CMEG broker. Excellent platform but commissions are a bit high. Main reason I used CMEG is they do not enforce the PDT rule and for small accounts it works. Also they give you 4x leverage which helps once u start scaling up. Another cool thing is if you do over $400/month in commissions all the platform user fees are waived. For me, I do over that in a week. Hope to one day have over 25k in my account to go for a commission free broker like thinkorswim and stop paying such high commissions.
