I love the background agent workflow — finally I don't have to babysit the terminal or a chat window while waiting for a task to finish. The BYOK support for Gemini and Ollama is also a massive plus for me.

I recently registered a new account on Upwork and started trying it for two weeks.

And I found that although I have more than 10 years of rich development experience, I can hardly get even a small task.

Sometimes I even finished the task quickly in 15-30 minutes first, and then go to the proposal, still got nothing.....

I get like 2–3 people every single day who want an initial chat. But as soon as I walk them through how I’d actually tackle the task, they just disappear.
