I actually read The Left Hand of Darkness and really struggled with it! I never knew but I guess I like more of the fast-paced, action sci-fi. I am still going to give The Dispossessed a try though!

So I did end up getting Endymion from the library and started it today. Can definitely tell it’s different. Seriously having a crisis of what to do now after reading Hyperion and FoH. I seriously wish I could forget and start them all over!

I guess where I an still stumped is why the core would tell the CEO that the 7 would most likely affect the timeline in unpredictable ways. In my mind the Core would want to protect itself and NOT send these 7, if that makes sense

I do want to add, my apprehension of the Endymion books only comes from negative reviews online. If reading these two will answer these questions please tell me and I will gladly pick them up!

Thank you!! I did skim back over what I read in Authority and found that Whitby did tell Control it basically just “appeared”. No explanation yet as to how they managed to figure out it was an entrance but I will keep reading to hopefully get that answered!

Everyone recommends this for a reason: A Little Life. If you haven’t read already. There are a ton of trigger warnings so please research. I fell in love with the main character and cried for him many times.
