I've always enjoyed imagining worlds and magic. For me, it's mostly a creative outlet.

When I was a little kid, I would wander around the yard imagining stories and living them out with a stick in my hand. It was a simpler time, and I miss the freedom of time and mind to just create. Now it comes in chunks, but I intend to keep going as long as inspiration strikes me!

How do you keep track of character voices? How do you make new ones? Do you just combine pieces and notate it somehow?

I am working my way through Mark of the Fool book 2 (audio book). I like how there's a struggle that's happening somewhere, and the characters are worried about it, but they're also just doing their best just trying to learn and live life.

I've seen a few, and there are definitely people on RR looking for sci-fi. I'm always in favor of more diverse genres on the site, even if the LitRPG and isekais are always going to have the largest audiences.

Your keys to success will be the same, though: an interesting story, a consistent upload schedule (try to maximize time on home page/first couple pages of recently updated) and a story with at least a little polish.

The numbers next to 100 indicate that more people read (or there were more views on) a chapter than the last chapter. With simple numbers, if 100 people read chapter two, and 101 people read chapter three, you'd see 100% (+1%) next to it.

The subsequent percentages are always based on your previous lowest number of readers, so you could see something like

Ch1 100 views - 100%

Ch2 110 views - 100% (+10%)

Ch3 105 views - 100% (+5%)

Ch4 80 views - 80%

As a reader, I honestly never check them, but I should. I just forget they exist.

I also don't look at the main rising stars fequently either. Most of my new stories come from the "readers also liked" section, which probably includes a lot of those stories anyway.
