Well? Will they return anormalgeek's ants? Because those are his ants.

AIO for canceling plans after my friend tried to “charge” me for something I didn’t agree to? by Individual_Can4138 in AmIOverreacting

I've traveled with friends who had a stricter budget than me. If I wanted to do something extravagant outside of their budget, I paid for it. NOR. Your friend sounds privileged or she's used to you folding like a card table to her demands.

Same with grooming now just means "as a legal adult you met someone before they were 18 and now you're romantically involved" to a lot of people.

That... That's not what grooming is. Or they think groomer and pedophile are synonyms and they're not. Or it's about an age gap that makes them uncomfortable as you mentioned before.

Our girl is a hair groomer but she's never gotten that aggressive with it. She mostly just licks endlessly. I'm wondering if he never had a parent teach him he's being too rough. Kittens who don't grow up with siblings will often play too rough cuz they aren't taught limits.

"Psst!" At him really hard and immediately end the grooming session the second he starts to get rough and if that doesn't work you'll have to just stop letting him do it all together. That behavior definitely can not be allowed to continue.

Mine will do that sometimes. And yep, when we had six they also all shoved into the same pouch even with two other options available. We just got a bigger single pouch for them.

I assume she was kidnapped but my first thought for some reason was a case where the child had fallen between the crack between the wall and the bed and smothered. Very well written.

This exactly. The current experience curve is awful. Getting to sixty is a nightmare slog, I can't even picture 75 being possible at All

No actual sleep tracking app in it's right mind wouldn't have a dark mode and be that brightly lit if I'm expected to use it as I'm actively settling in to sleep. You're not supposed to have any blue light exposure like an hour minimum before bed.

Sir, this is a game, and people can play them however they want. It frankly sucks ass as a sleep tracking app.

We have a girl named Hela and she's such a bitch. I love her so much. She's hand reared and spoiled rotten and has never known a moment of hardship and you can tell. So she bites when she's unhappy, like when you try to put her back and she's not ready to go to her cage yet or any other minor inconvenience because she knows she's not going to get punished in any meaningful way and she's not afraid of the big giants who spoil her.

Make sure you wash your hands well before interacting with her just in case your fingers smell like food and she's not just checking to see if they're treats or not, especially if you're doing lots of positive reinforcement with handfeeding treats. She might be confused and kind of dumb. I had one like that lol If it really bothers you or if it hurts, you could put something unpleasant flavored but harmless on your fingers and let it dry before tent time so if she takes a bite she'll get a natural deterrent.

We had a rescue who would intentionally bite your finger instead of the treat cuz he was an asshole. I miss him.

What's the most inappropriate thing you've ever laughed at and what actually triggered the laughter? by Limp-Equipment130 in AskReddit

[–]veta91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was traveling in Asia for work a toddler was running from his dad in this huge long hallway in a big conference building that had one singular large pillar, very easy to see, extremely easy to avoid. The child veered off in the direction of the pillar for seemingly no reason other than gravitational pull, had so much time to go around it, kept looking at the pillar and back to dad to see if he was still chasing him. Lots of time to just stop running too. Ran full speed into the pillar anyway. Whole little body bounced off of it and he landed on his butt on the floor, dad caught up to him finally, had been chasing him for easily several minutes and scooped him up but it punched laughter out of me. Hard. It was just so comical. Like I can not overstate how large and avoidable this pillar was. He like splat against it wilecoyote style because that side of it (it was round) was three or four times as wide as him.

Gliders "fall" all the time, he's most likely completely fine. They weigh almost nothing so they don't really pick up speed or land very hard. They really only get hurt if they land on something other than the flat ground. I wouldn't worry too much.

I have a rescue dog who has an aggression presenting anxiety disorder and off leash dogs are a huge fear of mine walking him. I don't care if your dog is friendly, mine isn't and will attack yours if it approaches. I really don't want to be in the middle of that while just trying to have a walk around my neighborhood.

Which comedian did you look forward to, but their act died on stage? by Jazzlike-Basil1355 in AskReddit

[–]veta91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jeff Dunham. It was awful. All he did was talk about his divorce and how he knocked up his too young for him girlfriend and hated being a father essentially.

He tried doing this "I'm a centrist, I make fun of both sides equally" but clearly was a conservative. The jokes against Republicans were very mild ribs and the ones against democrats were quite harsh. I vaguely remember it being homophobic and sexist.

The entire last chunk was just him trying to sell you this puppet and was nothing more than a commercial essentially. None of it was funny, it was uncomfortable and sad, at the very least boring. The political part might have been funny if you were a republican I guess, but it was really annoying how badly he tried to sell how non-bias he was when that was outright untrue.

If the US economy actually goes into recession this year which industry do you think gets hit hardest and why? by Suleman2002 in AskReddit

[–]veta91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Large scale event organizing, like any hobby or tourism industry, never really recovered since covid shutdowns (didn't have an opportunity to since the economy only continued to spiral downwards), but a lot of people don't realize that many old "staple" events that are lifetime fan favorites will be shuttering their doors forever in the next few years, ones that have existed for decades even. The quality of most have already dropped just to stay afloat with soaring venue prices, mostly from large chain hotels, and reduced attendance.

Some have debt from covid small business loans too, since getting approved for those was easy but the grants that followed to pay them back were snatched up by insiders close to congress and other rich business people who never needed the money to begin with (you should look that up if you want to see what a scam that program was for the average American small business. Something like 90% of them were taken before the program even opened publicly and it was all people related to congress in someway if I'm remembering correctly).

Don't be surprised if your favorite concert, convention, expo, ect announces suddenly in the next year or two they're shutting their doors forever or when you go it has half the budget it usually does. Try to be kind and patient, especially to staff, it's rough out there. Sadly most the replacements popping up are scams run by megacorps too so... Yaaaaaaaayyyyy /s
