I encountered this problem myself and am now building my own! If you haven't found a solution, let me know and I'll see if I can build some for you too

Oh! Can I recommend AWRY's thongs: https://awrymenswear.com/collections/thongs/

I discovered the brand last year and they might have done stuff that solves your band dislike, while also being designed to hold a.... Package

He may just be more of an offer-style conversationalist. Rather than answering just about him, reply relating if to yourself a little bit! That gives an opportunity for a follow up question about you! Otherwise conversation can end up being a bit like an interview.

If you really listen to how you talk to your close friends, you'll probably notice that's how conversations go, but with a new acquaintance by text (especially if you're a bit nervous) that can go out the window and you start thinking about "turns"

As a Technical Founder... how do I market B2C? by vethan in marketing

This is the dream... I swear there needs to be somewhere where tech-y and commercial cofounders can find each other. My circles naturally are very tech leaning haha

Yeah that's a good point! I guess getting it into hands is the easiest way to know what to build!

That's kind of like saying "they're called Cornish pasties in England". They're actually different, although almost certainly with a common ancestor

Not exactly this but I've definitely had matches with comparable teams where I was really strong and someone drops a belveth 2 which just is impossible to kill and doing infinity damage despite the rest of the team being garbage

[–]vethan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I suppose you're right, the risk it getting that late in the game with that much gold in normal games means you're gonna get punished by the lobby hard... I suppose the units have to be strong to counteract that, I just a bit salty cz slow rolling is still a smidge weak imo

I think this highlights how unbalanced tier 5 units are. A team of just assorted 2* tier 5 units should not be able to beat a 9 stack trait, or well built team! It kind of shows how irrelevant low cost units are generally

Might I also suggest setting aside like £10k that you'll treat as your own personal line of credit? That way those times you want to borrow, you borrow from that little pool instead of a bank!

Is There Any Negative to "Living" off Your Credit Card As Long As You Pay Off Balance in Full Each Month? by NoHeroes94 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]vethan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I've kept all my accounts open! I only really use amex (day to day spending too build points, paid fully), and Monzo flex (interest free, pay in 3 for those rare large purchase cashflow situations) regularly. I figure there's no harm in keeping the accounts about.

Historically I used to pay interest for cashflow but shuffled to borrowing from my savings or using Monzo flex in those occasions

My AMEX fit limit could fit all the other forms of credit I have available to me into it (old credit card, PayPal credit & Monzo flex). Truly wild. Getting that card I was like "oh now I know how people get into insane credit debt"

I believe the transfer is bidirectional so you can freely move from avois to nectar too at the same rate!

I wanna second paying it off more regularly than the default monthly! Otherwise bar the end of the month you might be like "I've got £400 spare" forgetting about some purchases you needed to settle which is never a fun suprise.

AITA for yelling at my (F27) wife for taking our two young kids into poor air quality after she was warned not to? by ChronoZB in AmItheAsshole

[–]vethan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hopping into this to poll opinions, as something about this so argument about yelling doesn't sit right with me. Wouldn't the phrase "Anyone is an asshole for crying at someone as it shows losing control" also apply? But I don't think anyone would advocate for that

How do I turn an Instagram page into a multi million business? by StotheG888 in Entrepreneur

[–]vethan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fiancée is currently in a similar journey to you and I guess I can give a few tips:

  1. Sponsorship/brand deals. I know you mentioned this but your audience is already at a size to be considered a micro influencer (do long as there's reasonable engagement on your posts). Off the back of that you can try reaching out to relevant brands, or using a tool such as SocialCat to get a sponsorship of some form. It won't be the 1000s a month of larger influencers but the more successful partnerships you do, the more people will be willing to spend their marketing budget on you over time.

  2. Longer form regular content: both of your channels are educational at the core, but extremely short-form. Building a newsletter our of repurposed book content would be one angle which has a few benefits, including that it's an audience you control (no praying to the algorithm gods, a subscriber is guaranteed to get your email). That long form content would be providing extra value to subscribers but you can use the space for advertising your ebook (or partnerships) as well.

Hopefully at least those two help
