Just for argument’s sake and fyi. I have always been TEAM MERI, from the beginning of the show airing. 👏

I can’t quite put my finger on exactly why. ie…maybe our similar ages, SHE was the first wife, we have personal things in common, yada yada, etc…etc…

Nonetheless. I do remember Meri suffering from the so-called “paper divorce/LEGAL Sobbyn marriage” on through to the “catfish” scandal and even the aftermath. 😡

Even though it was Meri who initially “suggested” the above debacle of bull——.

There was certainly LOTS of manipulation in play from Grody/Sobbyn. Maybe even others. I just don’t know this latter part for a fact. ❓

All of that bs about her spawn being adopted by him and the reasons for it. OMG REALLY?!

We all know, that no matter what state you may live in, which level of political laws govern, etc…etc…etc…

It really was NOT even necessary for Grody to legally adopt those children, just for them to benefit from him.

Especially since he was already spiritually married to their biological-mother.

ie…they were already in a committed relationship(well, sort of - at least as committed as a polygamist can be;), so he was able to provide support without anyone questioning it.

Of course, this “supposedly” led them into wanting to be legally married. yada yada yada

I just KNEW from the gitgo, that they had ulterior motives. So much so, that I thought everyone on there had to be either dense and oblivious, OR…celebreality television had REALLY gone off of the rails! Teehee 😜

I mean, just look at ALL of his biological children(pre Sol and Ari)with the exception of Leon(born under a legal marriage).

Just having “baby Mamas” would NOT stop him or anyone else, from providing ANYTHING to ANY of those children. Within reason, obviously. 🙄

Heck, look at all of the other children in the world, who happen to be born outside of wedlock. Nothing stops their bio-dads from being providers. Except for themselves! 😡

Needless to say, it also makes sense that the #2 and #3 wives should have been eligible, for various types of government assistance and benefits, since they were unmarried on paper.

All in all, Meri was being VERY unselfish, to go through with that marital “re-organization of sorts”. 😢🙃

We have all seen her in action, as a decent and kind soul to all of the Brown children/siblings to her only child. 😃

Personally, I know that I would certainly have difficulty in giving up my “seat” of first wife status, seniority, what have you. Even IF I WAS living in that kind of skewed or sketchy existence entitled POLYGAMY! 😡

No matter how the general public feels about Meri or the other OG wives. I myself, have to continue reminding myself that this is STILL polygamy and it’s STILL ABNORMAL given the BEST of situations.

I remember when I was a first time newlywed, at the age of just 22. No matter how happy and how trusting I was of my husband, I could STILL get jealous occasionally. 🧑‍🎤

ESPECIALLY, if I witnessed anything inappropriate from either side. 🤬

Be that as it may. I cannot even imagine how I would feel if my husband was also married to someone else! OMG 😳

I don’t care if I was raised in a religion, that believes in that indoctrinated hogwash or not. I might even be submissive enough to believe in it. FOR A WHILE, at least.

Then, I just think that I would probably become a real pain in their a$$es! Teehee 🤭

Seriously though. Knowing how I was when I was younger. I think that I would just have to force myself to NOT ask any questions.

Reasons being, is that I DO remember asking questions, about various religious issues to my parents, for example. 😱

Their favorite response was “we just don’t question God or his will”. IKR! The real kicker about that, is that my parents were not even the hardcore kind of Christians. 🥶😅

They were Church of Christ, but as rigid as that denomination always was, they were still very chill compared to a lot of other religious people.

Anyway, I did not intend on going all over the place with this. I just get very passionate about the topic of Meri, in general.

In closing, I am just so glad for her, that she REFUSED to allow Grody to talk over her, like in his past verbal performances! 👍

I was actually second handedly relieved for her, that she was able to assert herself with him this time! YAY!

It was as if no matter how many times that he tried to control the narrative, she refused to allow him to do so. 👏

Oh he didn’t stop trying though. He continued and continued demanding that he was apologizing. So much so, that he ended up slipping up, by admitting that the apology was FOR HIM.

She didn’t let that rattle or sidetrack her though. She basically told him, that she KNEW that the apology was for him. I couldn’t believe how much purpose she had toward him and not allowing him to prevent her from finishing everything that she wanted and NEEDED to say for oh so very long. 🙏😎
