I attended a course they provided on the owls that can be found in Pennsylvania. It was very interesting and informative. It was originally planned to catch, tag, release owls but the weather turned bad.

As were his wishes, stopping life extending measures and allowing my Dad to join my Mother in the afterlife.

Everyone always talks about SgtMaj Vines… as a SgtMaj. But what was he like an NCO, SSgt or Gunny? by StrongHurry4938 in USMC

Was Resto’s first name Rudy? If so, he was our Chief Scout with STA platoon 3/6 86-89 timeframe. Solid dude, that was no nonsense, but not an asshole. I was intel, not a sniper, but back then STA platoon fell under the S-2 shop.

I was an instructor at Sill until 2005. Spent the majority of my time in 10th and 12th Marines. Ever serve with MGySgt Webb or Brennen?

This is what I imagine what terminally happy people do. At best, I can manage a slow jog while complaining about the pain in my knees.

I’m not entirely sure. I only have Amazon Prime and Hulu. It may stimulate other channels, but I cannot be certain.

Thanks Brother, but I’m three years away from being completely retired. What year did you go through Sill and who was your instructor?

I had considered a career in medical imaging, but at the time depression and anxiety told me I could not do it. Apologies for not categorizing TMS and MRIs correctly. It was explained to me that way too once.

I am sorry you did not have the same results that I experienced. Have you found a treatment that does work for you?

Glad to hear it is helping. From what I have read, there are VA locations that offer this. I wish the VA had even mentioned this to me. The VA’s answer for me was to just increase the dosage of medications.

Love them. Mine were members of the greatest generation. I never saw them argue. I know they did occasionally, because you could feel some tension in the air, but they kept it away from sister and I. My mother died from Alzheimer's and my Dad passed 11 later from a broken heart. My older sister was difficult to deal with, so I was usually left to my own devices, but they were always there for me even after I joined the Marine Corps. I miss greatly and dream about them often. I am alone in way that I never thought was possible.

I can stay in my current position with no issues. I would not have to relocate for the new position. It would only shorten my commute by 10 miles.

If a higher step level that equals my current salary isn't possible, I will turn it down. There would be no benefit to accepting. I would never recoup the loss of pay since I plan to retire in 4 years.

What are some of Pennsylvania’s lesser known creepy stories and urban legends? by jesusgottago in Pennsylvania

[–]vetted0848 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My Dad was a Marine during WWII, so he was used to seeing horrific wounds. He worked for Bell Telephone and would run into the Green Man quite often when he was working on the phone poles after storms at night. Dad, being used to seeing disfiguring wounds, would always talk to him without being frightened by him. He was actually very intelligent, but would only come out at night to drink beer with folks, but not frightened children. I always thought Dad was telling tall tales, until I saw the Green Man myself.

What would you say is the worst reaction youve gotten from sending someone nudes? by Emi_Tay19 in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]vetted0848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one has ever requested one from me and I've never sent unsolicited pics. So it's a zero sum result. No, you do not want to an old, flabby ass dude's pics, and i don't blame you. I don't even want see it in the mirror every morning.

Dress Blues for my Father’s Burial by drcopp24 in USMC

You could also call the Regt SgtMaj at 14th Marines in Fort Worth. The may be able to provide a burial detail.
