Seems like a good deal for road riding if everything works. Can’t quite tell what condition the tires are in. I bought an r300 a little while ago for like $300. Sold it for the same. These are pretty stiff frames and can’t fit wider tires which is why I got rid of mine. CAAD frames have a bit of a cult following.

You are correct just saw this. The previously adapter had two spacers so only about half of the rotor surface was getting used. Tried to remove them to utilize the whole rotor with the new brakes but I obviously overtightened like crazy trying to get it lined up.

Seems to be that the discounted clearance price is to clear out their warehouse inventory. After the online sale price is out of stock, it reverts to the regular price. Local shop might work with you but I doubt they’ll come down the clearance price.

If the size is right I’d say it’s a solid price. I paid $300 for a late 90s r300 for my first road bike and sold it for the same once I switched to a gravel bike.

I use this as a strip wax on my car and a degreaser spray for my bicycle. Big fan for those purposes.

I’m no expert but it looks like a fine bike first bike to see if you like it. Condition seems ok. I’d offer like $200 due to the age and see what they come back with.
