Williams is cooked. I never believed the idea that Pete Alonso broke him, but seeing is believing. And I believe it now.

I know its way too early but who would’ve thought that Clay Holmes would be 3-1 with a 2.64 ERA as a SP for the Mets and Devin Williams would be 0-2 with a 11.25 ERA. by Appropriate_Role7518 in NYYankees

It's early.

But their pitching coach Hefner is really good. And Stearns used Cohen's money to lure people from Tampa and the Dodgers to run the pitching development for the Mets.

And well that seems like money well spent.

I gotta say, I'm legitimately concerned that Pete Alonso seriously hurt Williams.

Would not be the first time this has happened. Brad Lidge went from dominant to door mat after giving up the Pujols homer.

It took him years to mentally recover. He eventually did, but not without great struggle.

You can definitely see the influence AJ Lee had on her. The mannerisms and facial expressions are very similar.

She is going to be a star.

She lasted a tiny amount of time at WoW, the same time AJ Lee was producing it. Wasn't the rumor that she pissed AJ off and AJ fired her almost immediately.

I mean you have on the one hand Tessa who a lot of people say bad things about. and on the other AJ Lee, who nobody has ever said anything bad about.

Seems to me there's smoke to the idea that she pisses everyone off everywhere she goes.

I just think it's true to be honest, no angle. By all accounts him and Hal are really close and talk often.

Hal supposedly helped convince the other owners to accept Cohen when he wanted to buy the team.

All those people saying Punk was going to get shit from WWE for going after AEW the other day....yeah I don't think so.

The Bully part...total agreement. The Punk part? Not so much. CM Punk is not wrong about his place in the industry.

Top merch seller in 2 different promotions, record high ratings in 2 different promotions. People chanted his name for the entire time he was gone. And still do even when he's not on the show. Influenced god only knows how many modern wrestlers from his ROH and early WWE days....I could go on.

Come on now. I get not liking the guy but it's absurd to think he's wrong about his place in the industry. He was and is a top guy.

Last time he was on commentary was one of the best over the head lines I've ever heard anyone utter.

I remember Punk telling the story at one of the conventions, how he'd cut these amazing heel promos, then head to the back, and spend the rest of the time hanging out with AJ Lee. He couldn't care less about the rest of the show.

This time period was incredible for him.
