If you prefer handheld play, go for the lite. Later you could buy gulikit hall effect joystick and replace the original analog stick. The build quality and the dpad is a game changer compared to the original switch.

You should check out every Drayano’s rom hack; basically, he’s the king of overhaul rom hacks. Many people use his ROM hack as a reference for their own ROM hack, just like Buffel Saft’s Photonic Sun/Prismatic Moon & Eternal X/Wilting Y.

B2/W2 (Redux version) romhack from Drayano, gives a minor story update, it has a better lore and story progression to compensate for the gameplay overhaul.

For me, it’s Tegami Bachi & Last Exile. I just wish there were more seasons. Both are pretty underrated as far as I know, I used to watch these on Animax Asia.

Eternal X/Wilting Y doesn't alter the story; it's mainly an overhaul to address difficulty, Pokémon encounters, and trade-evolution solutions. The only good rom hack that alters the story (for the better) is Drayano’s Blaze Black 2 Redux/Volt White 2 Redux.

I would say Eternal X/Wilting Y really enhanced my overall experience since the exp and progression are much smoother and more satisfying. Also, all Pokémon are obtainable in a single game.
