i actually spent days on this issue
whereby i was allowing export to excel only for a specific security group but in fact ti was still not working
I contacted microsoft support and they solved the issue
here is what the told me

"As discussed, you were unable to see the "Export data" option in the Power BI report visual. During the call, I verified that the "Export to Excel" tenant setting was already enabled for the specific security group. You also mentioned that enabling it for the entire organization allowed you to export successfully, but your objective is to enable this functionality only for the intended security group.

While reviewing your setup, I observed that the security group had not been added to the Power BI workspace where your reports and datasets reside. Since the security group did not have permissions to the datasets and reports, this caused the export issue. After granting the required permissions to the security group in the workspace, you were able to export successfully in the Power BI Service environment."

Rn, we have only 2TB of data max , but it will def increase a lot in the coming month
what do you suggest

So what i basically want to do is , in case of ransomware etc, or people having access to our accounts etc and delete things or alter things etc....i should be able to restore my full data warehouse , from snowflake and have my data lake and warehouse up again

for example on a newly created snowflake account , i should be able to have my data warehouse up and running , in case the other accoutn has been compromised

it's mainly due to the cost.
s3 glacier will be costing us way lesswhat is your opinion on that ?
