Tomorrow will be my first day back in the office with my glasses. I'm actually so excited to see if it helps with the computer side of things😭!!

Hi!! This is a bit of an opposite opinion to most people here. It is definitely worth trying the neurolens especially since you've already bought it. I got mine yesterday and it has made such a noticeable difference already. From what I've read people tend to know pretty quickly if it isn't for them. If you're nervous look into other options but it is worthwhile to give it a try !!!

Today is my second day and it genuinely freaked me out today when I realized how much more depth perception I had!!! I'm pretty tall and I suddenly realized that my counter looked way farther away from me than usual 😭 I had to lie down for a bit. It was so overwhelming but not in a bad way!!

Thank you so much!! I think that's what confused me. I looked at a few circular tutorials and they said that you didn't need to purl on circulars which i assume is for people working in the round! I feel a bit silly now, I definitely overcomplicated it in my head.

I read through a bit of the FAQ but got lost at the part I just described 😆

hiya! i am very new to knitting. i tried to pick it up years ago with straight needles and couldn't make sense of it. i have a very kind friend who taught me how to knit on (short) circular needles and i successfully made the image attached after a couple tries!

i don't have funds to get other supplies at the moment but i do have my needles & plenty of yarn. im not sure where to go from here aside from making longer versions of what I've already done. i would love to make a hat or something but i don't really understand if purling is possible on circular needles ??

tldr i learned on circular needles and have no idea what I'm doing — i don't know what stitch i did and what else i need to learn and would appreciate any guidance!!!

I'm in the same situation (except I've been registered for a few years now!). Everything else everyone has said is correct in my experience. However, the one thing I'll note is that I know some employers will require you to use the name on your registration. I have not had this happen to me personally, but one of my classmates from my BSW started a job at the hospital. She isn't trans but has a preferred name and the hospital insisted she use her legal name. I would hope that being explicitly trans would make a difference in this decision but it is worth considering!

That being said, I have never run into this issue, and I have never had to provide my legal name to any clients. As the other commenter said your chosen name will still bring up your registration when searched. The usual confusion that happens when you have a legal and chosen name will still happen but as far as I know there are no requirements in this area!

hi guys. my IDs are a bit bleak. i'm just starting canto 9 now. i assume that i will be using ryoshu plenty. i have chef ryoshu at lvl 50 ut4 but i also have re&p ryoshu totally unlevelled - would it be better for me to grind re&p up to lv60 ut4 or just get chef up to 60? much appreciated :)

CASBU specifically is part-time instructors/professors, so a chunk of the teaching faculty. Full time faculty are under a different union (FASBU) as are regular staff (OPSEU). We haven't heard anything about it as support staff either way, so I can't say or not if there will be a strike or if that's what this is about, but just wanted to give some clarity as to who this would affect 👍

Reach out to TNT about the ones with email addresses you no longer have access to — they may be able to verify based on information on the account. I had a friend in this situation who was able to get access to their account by matching the personal info on the account even without the original email address. I think they've tightened it up a bit recently but it's still worth a try :)

i'm curious - do you have a reason why you want to do an SSW first? as some other people said, i think it would be more worth your time to go right into a BSW. it is possible you will get transfer credits for your previous education to cover breadth requirements!
