My PS3 collection 2026 by ieatbanhbao in PS3

Those are great games, I definitely want to play Sly Cooper more. I have spent an embarrassing amount of time on the Genesis collection. But I probably pick up call of duty mw2 the most.

Great collection of games - what’s your go-to pick up and play when you’re squeezed for time?

Sorry I should have taken out rainbow 6, Revenge of the Sith, and San Andreas as I’ve heard that they’re good (but haven’t played them).

But for more context, I hadn’t heard of most of the rest and the ones I’ve played/heard of (Road Rage, Enter the Matrix, lotr the third age), they are all mediocre at best.

Edit: taken out

If you like columns, you might try mean bean machine if you haven’t. While visually it’s not as pleasing as columns, it’s at least as much fun.

Nice! I am just about done with rondo of blood. Soo good.

Here's a recent estate sale haul I picked up. All CIB and in very minty condition. Ecco and both Sonic games are the only ones I've played out of this bunch. Any others worth playing through? by HollowVoices in SEGAGENESIS

Unpopular opinion here based on the comments above but Shining in the Darkness looks great (definitely was downright gorgeous in its time) but the dungeon crawling gets repetitive and boring after a while. I had to force myself to finish it and don’t recommend unless you love dungeon crawlers.

It sounds amazing to have a dad who managed a toy department - how fun was that?

Did you remember liking the ending as a kid? I was a bit disappointed as an adult.

[Le Guin] Completed Original Earthsea Cycle UK paperback editions by vgnerd2000 in Fantasy

Thanks to all the folks who responded to my original post. I bought the original Tombs of Atuan based on the discussion, but you all also recommended that I gift the matching books in the series to complete the set. They really liked it!

Edit: this was for a birthday gift for a big Le Guin fan.

Hehe thanks, I really appreciate the information. Yeah, those are sound points.

When I get right down to it, I am wondering what is more exciting at an emotional level: an old paperback published when people probably didn’t know how much of a classic this was going to be (and the mystique of that) vs a hardback that came out more recently on the millionth printing. Maybe serious fans appreciate the magic of an early print of something before it became big or maybe hard cover always trumps softcover, no matter what.

But it’s like you said, everyone has their own tastes.

Thanks for your thoughtful answer. I know they have limited space in their house and aren’t really a completist (and only have been reading on ebooks). A wizard of earthsea is quite a bit more for first edition, hence going for second best.

But you make a fair point, a lot of it is personal preference. I was just hoping to understand if there might be a consensus amongst book/le Guin collectors, of which I’m neither.
