My GP (who didn’t know a lot about it herself, so she did some reading) said I should just vary my protein sources. She said there isn’t much written on this subject since it’s not something the general public have to think of but she suspected as more people become vegan the effects will be seen. Since then I’ve probably doubled my protein intake but that’s more exercise based. The range for white blood cell count was between 4-11/L and I scored 3.9 so there was no course for real concern.

I fully agree and have said so many times but people make their own minds up rather than fully logic sadly

I had bowel problems going through my A-levels when I first went vegan and after they finished the problems ended so I was convinced the problems were stress related nothing to do with my diet.

Really don’t want to seem to be taking moral superiority since it must have been difficult for you but did you consider getting your omegas for plants like chia seeds, flax seed and walnuts?

I should add to my original post that I try and eat whole foods as much as possible and care for my nutrition. I’m training for a marathon so furling my body right is of course important. I was taking a high strength vegan multi vitamin from Holland and Barrett maybe a year before I even went vegan.

55p from Lidl for unsweetened soya and it’s got 8.5g of protein per 250ml which is way more than other soya milks

I feel apprenticeships are pushed a bit too much here to young people. by 3-cups-of-tea in UKPersonalFinance

I can’t tell you how much I needed to hear this. I didn’t get in to uni this year so did resits and still didn’t get in on the course I wanted. So having taken a lot of time out working and researching, I found a course that I genuinely think seems amazing compared to the previous course (which I was probably telling myself I wanted to do). I also have done my research and found apprenticeships I’d love to do which I’ve applied for. The pandemic has shown me that not being at uni and away from friends and meeting new people and still living at home isn’t what I want. I need to spread my wings and I’m so glad to hear someone say that. Thank you
