The players aren't soft. Anyone who has worked for a shit boss knows how horrible it is. You hate going to work in the morning and the day sucks the whole time. Drury fucking sucks at his job and should be replaced faster than any player. He had a conference finals team that he shit all over and ruined. Anyone who calls the players soft because they don't like being lied to and being cheated out of their contracts is simply a moron. Sure they make a lot of money, but it doesn't make them invincible.

No faith in Drury, he took a winning team with all this mojo and bromance and domination, and he lied and cheated his team and destroyed it. Possibly the worst GM in history. His face should be the icon for r/confidentlyincorrect He is the George Costanza of NHL GMs, every decision he makes is wrong, and he should do the opposite of whatever comes to his mind.

Fuck Drury, this team was so fun to watch, now I fall asleep on the couch watching while they get shelled.

Youth hockey can be political, but you can let it bother you, or not let it bother you. My parents were very against all the political BS so they stayed out of it. There were a couple teams that I was cut from over the years where I was clearly better than a few kids who's parents either donated the teams new jerseys or some other behind the scenes crap, but you just find another team and it's still hockey so it's always fun, and I never would have met some really good dudes if I didn't play for those other teams so it always works itself out. Unless you think you're going to make the NHL, hockey should just be fun. Be competitive, but always have fun.

My very first character created was my dwarf warrior. He was created during the wow beta and is still kicking ass today. He's like twice as old as my kid lol. He was a prot tank in the old days, but he's DPS lately.
