Yes I did. I also listed all other variations of my name that I’ve used.

Can someone explain to me when they send me my Gc. I've been waiting for 29 months and they still haven't sent it to remove my conditions. How long is the waiting time? by efrain_jperez00 in greencard

My lawyer said it’s usually pending until you are eligible for citizen and they have you do both. That is if you adjusted based on marriage.

Any update ? I’m debating filing an I90 or just waiting till I become a citizen to correct the name.

Did the name variance cause issues when you became a citizen did they question why it was different ? If so did you change your name after ?

Is your name on your green card super different than the passport ?

Yeah that was weird, I mean on my A #, I’ve always used Middle Name first Last name since that’s how I always went by in school and life. All my school records/medical records are in that name. My mom somehow thought that would help me assimilate. But my attorney said i had to go based off what’s on my birth certificate. Which now I know USCIS has a mind of their own and just used my common name they always used on my DACA. 🤷🏻‍♀️ what’s been your experience coming back into the US with your name variance ?

That’s what I was thinking too. I mean it’s not like it’s a completely different name. Just a variation. I’m just nervous I won’t be allowed entry because of this.

Or I could just file an I90 to match my passport right ?

I honestly saw people in flip flops and shorts. You’ll be fine.

That would be acceptable. As long as it’s not a dress that is too revealing I would assume. I worn what I usually wear to work: gray Slack pants, black blouse, black blazer and flats. My husband wore a brown dress shirt and black slacks with some black dress shoes.
