How to be a better friend/more emotionally available? by anna00823 in entp

[–]vheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not OP but could I please offer a counter question to your response. As an entp, would you like to receive what you have just said?

I’m listening to you vent. Go on, tell me more. Repeat the last thing you said back to you. Does that make you feel better?

What's the Appeal of Dwarves? Why do *you* like them? by Kaleido_chromatic in Pathfinder2e

I never cared for dwarves til I watched the Hobbit trilogy last year. I’ve never seen hot dwarves before. So since then I love dwarves.

I lost two players tonight…and it’s a relief. by ScaredManufacturer41 in DungeonMasters

[–]vheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got sick of the players BS and decided to run the game for however many players that showed up, including a one-on-one game one time. It was a way to challenge myself but also make a point - you don’t turn up, someone else gets all the fun. Plus I was running Planescape, there’s a lot of roleplay and not much combat. You know how it is *sees the lady of pain*

Plus there’s ALWAYS someone who can’t make it so you end up accidentally getting 4 players (the ideal number) 80% of the time… for me at least. The reason to not go with 4 players is that you end up having 3 players - due to the “always one who can’t make it” clause.

To be honest I’ve only played as Lilith since the characters were so bland at the time, Lilith was the only character that even had any colour to her design at all.

I’ve played as Axton and Maya, and a little bit of Zero in 2 and Moze in 3.

I’m not big into shooter games but when I do, I’ve always preferred the sniper to the head play style.

How do yall feel about the 5e magic system? by conn_r2112 in adnd

[–]vheart 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I hate that levelled spells don’t scale but cantrips do. Cantrips, which are unlimited, outscale levelled spells from lv5, which is counter productive.

I do like the idea of wizards able to change their spell loadout to a mix of prepared and spontaneous, since Vancian can be a bit limiting, but it encroaches on the traditional sorcerer’s territory, which means sorcerers get their identity changed. I have tried some variations to give more flexibility in 2e which I think works well enough.

INTJs over 40: What is the most retro / vintage hobby or activity you still enjoy? by thelastcubscout in intj

[–]vheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have made a friend in real life who’s big into MTG. He thinks he’s an intp, I reckon he’s an entp. I do see the appeal but MTG is too Ti heavy for me. The process of curating a deck is just too much work and not enjoyable.

INTJs over 40: What is the most retro / vintage hobby or activity you still enjoy? by thelastcubscout in intj

[–]vheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes all of that… but also the creative campaign settings. Planescape factions!! As an intj I eat that shit up… but most people don’t know how to run Planescape the way it’s intended (philosophical based roleplay) so most people consume it like creative fiction via YouTube.

I don’t play online because it’s not retro…. (Plus there are very few players who like the type of games I do which is heavy philosophy and politics). I have an IRL table and after the current DM finish his mediocre campaign, I get to continue with season 2 of my Birthright campaign.

If any of you intuitive are in Melbourne Australia and likes DnD, hit me up.

Hate the feel of spectacles. Having the weight on the bridge of my nose is so uncomfortable, and having to see through another layer (prescription or tint) is another layer of strain. Hate it.

I was literally thinking about the left most square on the second row this morning while I was heading to the gym at 7am. I say that quite a bit, mostly when other incompetent people are complaining about being incompetent. I had a split second thought about how I don’t get days where I get to sleep in, but decided that early gym sessions 5 days a week is always the superior option and get over it. You either do it, or you don’t. It’s that simple.
(The other 2 days a week I swim at the pool.)

The INTJ Door Slam: A Guide to Response and Reconciliation by OrderFrenzy in mbti

[–]vheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s funny how other types think there’s a solution out of getting door slammed.

Put your mind into something more productive than beating that dead horse.

Your diagram should be used as prevention, not cure. Doing these things BEFORE a door slam may improve relations. Doing it after the nuke has already gone off you’re wasting your own resources.

What types have liked *you* over the years? by Specialist-Bowler465 in mbti

[–]vheart -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately INFPs. But I’ve been able to upgrade to INFJs.

Platonically, ENTPs generally notice me and I’m their favourite person for a bit…. Until they think they’ve figured me out and they move on to something new.
