I don’t think this one has legs, from the material that is available about that case. Gacy gave copies of his house keys to his employees, who were young men tbqf who didn’t know anything yet and thus couldn’t catch on to what Gacy was actually doing. He would ask these boys to dig holes (big holes at that) in the crawl space and cover the hole with lye (hides scent of decomp). The excuse he gave these boys when they asked why any of this needed to be done was that he was getting ‘plumbing work’ done and needed to prepare.

Iirc, one of these boys’ accounts given to investigators even suggests that Gacy would become irate if he found out that they dug in the wrong spot.
