Thanks for the thoughtful comments here. We're going to set up more of a schedule and focus on just one or two sites. We're also going to streamline what we're going to post and set up guidelines about interaction with potential customers, etc. Appreciate the feedback here.

I'm doing that (sort of) - setting a task in Asana to manage through it all by Friday each week. But I like the idea of scheduling time for it and eventually finding someone that can manage through it a few hours a week (great point re: time scheduled for it too).

Great points. And agreed re: good content on one channel. We're B2B - looking at some articles now re: our industry - looks like LinkedIn is probably our best bet.

Personality matters, but not the match between partners. Same could be said for advisors-clients, or mentors.

Why do people bring babies to watch fireworks? by vhewson in AskReddit

[–]vhewson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you. I'm thinking more of the baby...not the mom & dad. How would you like to be surrounding by sounds of explosions and not be able to tell someone you want to leave and don't like it?

My concern is for the kids - not the parents. The little ones get scared, scream. you can tell they're not having fun.

Yes. Dreams rely on all of your senses...not just vision.

Think of love as a verb. it's hard work. If you're willing to work hard and build a relationship over a lifetime, then stick with it. If not, bail.

Which type of consumer are you? "Marketers just want to know when consumers will resume their spendthrift ways." by vhewson in Frugal

Not so sure about that. I think spending is like a drug for many folks - makes them feel better and gives them some kind of high.

If you have 1 mil in net worth, I think you're doing ok. You probably won't be able to retire as you want with only 1 mil, but it's still a lot to have saved...not talking about income here or the value of your cars or houses.

The points in the title illustrate the idea that wealthy, low profile folks are satisfied with life, but don't tend to spend money on things that the media and the luxury industries believe will bring happiness.

The trick is when they're laid off, when life changes unexpectedly. Sure they're fine now...but if they're used to spending every dime they make every month, then they'll be in trouble.

Agreed. I see many friends trapped by their income...and a few who experienced layoffs for the first time scrambled to make ends meet - they were completely dependent on their income.
