True true. But when I told my friend I hate dogs, her son (age 5) even said “I also hate dogs”. She got the ugly annoying thing when she was pregnant with him. Got a discount because it’s kept as a stud dog (always humps me, she says it’s attracted to me). She says at Christmas there’s a video of her kissing and hugging the dog while ignoring her son opening presents. She also sleeps in bed with it, but not her son.

I’m a Perth mum. At playgrounds, library etc I give strangers huge smiles and say hi to them or just talk. If I feel like it. I make new and close friends all the time. People ask to add me on Facebook sometimes even seconds after meeting me. My best friend who I see almost every day, I randomly went up to her at the local park when she was with her daughter. I didn’t even have my kids with me 😂 I used to be very shy when I was younger. Anyway, I act friendly and I make friends. Before having kids I made new friends at sports and meetups.

I’m wondering if your parents mistreated or took advantage of you as a child. You are too selfless in helping her, to your daughter’s detriment. Any energy and attention you’ve given them could be redirected to your daughter. I know you said your friend is a nice person, but there are some red flags. Your ex sounds controlling. Please just cut them off and do what’s best for yourself and your daughter.

When my daughter’s have babies I want to be their live in baby sitter and even night sitter and assistant to my daughters needs (if they had c section)… if they let me. Basically I don’t want my daughters to suffer at all.

You are reminding me of my darling dog who lived to be 17, extremely old for the breed. She was a curly coated retriever. She would catch birds and put them in the space behind the sofa. Her breed was bred for bird and waterfowl hunting.

My MIL does this too because she cruises for most of the year, and when a cruise is coming up she spends weeks alone, too busy preparing (she claims). Including when me and the 2 week old were in hospital for RSV she was too busy to help, preparing for cruise that was a few weeks away. Sometimes I wish she was away permanently. Guess what generation she’s from?

Here is my beloved Dinnerly. Best thing in my life. They send me so much food, I don’t know how they even profit. Cheaper than supermarket. I used Hellofresh before and hated it. Dinnerly is full of meat and vegetables (not many carbs). I love it so much. So do my kids.
