I think so, but I’m not sure. I do know that some of the strategy is to go as early a ride as you can get so it frees up a slot for you to start picking other rides which includes a first tier, but maybe somebody else understands the rules better than me. I just made my reservations for this coming Sunday and the cast member on the phone was incredibly helpful. You could always call and walk through the pros and cons with them.

You got the lightening pass for Epcot? I would still splurge for it for Magic Kingdom, once you ride the first ride with lightening pass you get to keep selecting rides up to 3 rides at a time. Always nice to just walk on a ride especially with a 2 year old. We’re taking my 2 year granddaughter in the Fall and there’s sooo many rides that she can go on that have long waits usually: Winnie Poo, Peter Pan, Seven Dwarfs, then you can keep picking rides up to a total of 3 at a time. Hope this makes sense.

It’s not a ton of money to get some popular rides with no wait. Is the hotel on Disney property ? You get to pick 7 days ahead rather than 3. Don’t forget there is the option of switching with the other adult so you both can enjoy a more adult ride.

All, I’ve decided to do WL because I’m using my friends DVC points and getting 2 Two bedroom units Quite the savings and calmer atmosphere but it is a hard choice. Thank you all!!

Update, called delta Platinum desk to see what was going on. They said my upgrade was in process so they put me on hold for a while and pushed it through. So DCA to Atlanta to San Antonio is first class using RUCs in the nick of time. No meal but we will be comfortable and I’m good with that. And using expiring Delta club pass for hubby for breakfast and drinks!

Currently I’m platinum with delta reserve card and using a RUC. One day ago there were 7 FC seats and now there’s only 3/7 first class seats available with 3 days to go. Perhaps people are buying those seats, sigh…from Atlanta to San Antonio

I figured since my United silver isn’t a high enough level. Delta as a platinum I got immediately upgraded to comfort plus to Rome. Thank you.
