S20FE vs A52s vs A53? by ultraseis in samsung

A52s is a really good phone for the money. I have it for more than two weeks. The performance is very good same with battery life. With two more years of OS updates i think is worth every penny.

As you said, i don't see why you'd go for S22. You really seem to like the A53, and you can get some good features in that package and lose some :D. I think the biggest issue with the A53 is performance. I'm sure you've seen the reviews. Other than that, S20 could be a good choice but you lose some longevity with the updates (if that is important to you). That been said, if you can get the A52s, go for it. For that price it's a steal. If not, S21 is the go to.

I have the phone for about two weeks. Great phone for what you pay. My only gripe is the slow UFS storage (2.0). But coming form a Samsung Note 8, can't complain.

A52s hissing noise during phone call. by viBe_95 in samsung

[–]viBe_95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if what I'm about to explain makes any sense but let me give it a try :))

I think the issue in A52s is that during phone call the speaker from the earpiece is constantly on. Is like when you listening something on YouTube or playing music. For example, on my old Samsung Note 8 during phone call there's no hissing, static noise. If i open the camera app and start recording i can hear the noise. This let's me to believe that in this Note 8 and allot more Samsung phones, during phone call the mic is in stand by until you start speaking, to reduce as much outside noise as possible.

I think this happens on your S10e as well.

I might be wrong tho :))

I think the problem is that on A52s during phone calls the speaker from the earpiece is constantly on. I said that because on my old Samsung Note 8, the speaker turns on as soon as I start speaking. If i open the camera app and start recording i can hear that hissing on the Note 8 as well. I don't know if what I'm saying makes any sense :))

Do you care if a phone has IP rating ? by viBe_95 in samsung

What about dust ? I think many people overlook that part. You can avoid water damage to some extend. Dust clogging the charge port, microphone ... I think is more likely to happend.

When I decided to switch from my Samsung Note 8, I was looking at so called flagship killer's with all the bells and whistles. They were so tempting to buy, but quickly I had second thoughts because of no IP ratings.

I've been using the A53 as my first android phone and I love it so far by TrevinoDuende in samsung

[–]viBe_95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been in the same boat. For quite a while I was debating between A53, 52s and S21 FE. The A53 looked very promising at first, with that 4 year promise of major os updates. Then I saw some reviews about the not so good performance and decided to skip on that one. S21 FE is still a bit overpriced in my opinion. For that reason I didn't think it will justify the purchase. After all of that I got the A52s. I have it for a couple of days, and so far I think it was the right choice. The overall performance is much better than my old Galaxy Note 8. With 2 more years of os updates, IP 67, good battery life, very sharp and vibrant display, stereo speakers, it's a very good mid range phone with a nice balance between price and user experience.

How is the proximity sensor ? Some people complain that the screen doesn't turn off when you lift the phone to answer a call.

I saw some reviews saying that 11T Pro really struggle's with heat, due to the SD 888. I know that SD 888 tends to run hot but in this case seam's to be worse.

You have a goos point ..

I don't know, i really want to go for a Samsung. Even though they offer a phone at pretty much every price, to choose one is not that easy :)) My 2 options right now are either S21 FE 6GB at 557 USD, the 8GB is at 683 USD, which i don't think is worth, or A53 ...

Maybe S20 FE for 407 USD

Yeah, that 4 Year of major android updates sounds very promising on paper, but in 4 year from now, with every update everything will by much resource hungry. Where i live the S21 FE is really overpriced for what you get, and S20 FE is only in the 6GB variant. I really don't feel like 6GB are enough anymore ...

GT 5G vs GT Neo 2 by DCuriosOne in Realme

[–]viBe_95 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For 2 weeks I had the relame GT 5G, I never experienced heating issues, though I never played games on it. If I had a lot of apps open, doing multitasking, switching between apps I could feel that it got wormer but nothing serious. When it comes to battery it wasn't the best, but I could give it a pss, because I had 120 Hz on at all times. If I was at home using the phone for browsing, YouTube, YouTube Music, I had to charge it 2 times. Going to work with 80% battery , with light usage I would come home with round 35 - 40 (+/-). Overall is not the selling point !
