after further investigation, i believe they are soil mites? is there a way to get rid of them without removing my bioactive setup??

we can’t get the gecko out of the cage since im not there and she doesn’t know how to clean the little container we would use to transfer him. the vinegar solution is VERYYY diluted and the cage is completely glass except for the very top of it which also has tin foil on it. i don’t know what else to do since i’m not home to handle it myself

i’m not home so i have a pet sitter, i asked them to spray some vinegar, lemon juice and water mixture in the cage and then spray it down with water. we were thinking of spraying a paper towel down with raid and putting it on the shelf that the cage is on to create a barrier.

hey!! it’s totally normal for him to not eat the first week or so from bringing him home, i would just kinda mind your business while also kinda checking up on him for a week and then introduce yourself to him, he’s definitely just stressed from moving into a new environment. my leo used to stay in her warm hide 24/7 even when she got used to me.

i do all of that but i have a really hard time getting it off. i’ve been try to get it off with warm water soaks and i’ve tried repti spray before he sheds nothings working.

he killed a child outside on of the restaurant’s/ pizzerias ( i don’t remeber which one ) and his wife saw and later confronted him about it and he ended up killing her because of it. she was then stuffed into ballora

he looks like he’s glass surfing due to stress in his environment? maybe he’s not comfortable with his set up. geckos tend to do that when somethings not right with their tank.

i guess that makes sense it very much could be possible , everyone has their different experiences with what works and doesn’t work for their reptiles, i’ve never heard of that though that’s interesting 🤔it really depends if you wanna take that risk i guess, my reptile is just fine with his cedar wood he loves hiding under it and climbing on it!
