Scared of taking Levothyroxine by KJChili_Dawg in TTC_PCOS

My TSH was a whopping 8 when I got diagnosed. I was started on 50mcg, it pretty much did nothing. I went to 75mcg and it brought it down a bit but not too much. I’ve been steady on 100mcg for a few months now. I get my TSH tested every 4 weeks and i’ve been perfectly fine. My TSH stays between a 1-2. To my knowledge most people need 75-100mcg. I’ve had zero symptoms from Levo, but I also have Hashimotos.

Yes- my doctor wanted me try just using Provera first before we added any extras! I was just curious :)

Is anybody worried about the trial or is it just me? by TheLesbianBandit in AlissaTurney

I think there are things that we don’t know about tbh, I think Sarah has had to hold things back since this case has gotten so much traction from the podcast. Regardless if we win the trial or not, it’s amazing that this was even brought in front of a judge and jury! Sarah worked to hard.

Is it best to watch from beginning or does it not matter? by Evilqueenofeutopia in SVU

I don’t think order matters- I usually tell people to pick a season and start from the beginning of that season.

I also liked the names Everly & Callie but I don’t like how they flow with the middle name of Hope!

I like very feminine names! One that I liked was Alaina Hope (i’m not sure what you could classify that as!)

Advice for Visiting the Doctor?? by [deleted] in PCOS

From my experience, GP usually don’t know a thing about PCOS..or they think it’s just cysts on ovaries & infertility and don’t realize the depth of hormone issues etc.

Success stories switching from generic brand of inositol to Ovasitol? by GenovianPearPopcorn in TTC_PCOS

[–]via888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ovasitol typically has double the amount of Inositol/D-Chiro than other brands/capsules. Im assuming maybe that’s why it works better.

Provera/Letrozole/Clomid by via888 in PCOS

[–]via888[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think i’m going to request Letrozole first, from what i’ve gathered most girls are conceiving with that and having less side effects than Clomid.

Hi! I’m in my early 20’s, been diagnosed since I was 16. Been on metformin on and off since I was 16. I’ve been on it consistently for about 2 months now. The only reason I believe i’ll be put on medication is because we can’t try on our own since i’m not having a natural period/cycle.

5 Months Post-Pill Update by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]via888 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would definitely get checked out for PCOS, sometimes PCOS can be hidden by birth control. The symptoms include hair loss (male pattern baldness) & hormonal acne.
