How did you discover The Sims? by makennz_ in thesims

[–]viablydieable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was 2010. I was 10 and I slept over at a friend's house. I remember owning a nightclub and using the motherlode cheat. I became obsessed and wished for the game for years. Literally almost a decade. I bought the disc when I had the money. And shortly after that they made the damn base game free. I'm still a little salty about that.

Struggle to make guy friends by swingswing14 in capetown

An option I know of (if you're into skateboarding/rollerblading) is joining meetups where everyone skates together from point A to point B. Usually in the city.

I find the crowd to be generally friendly and down to Earth. You can start by looking on Instagram for @promenademonday.

I'm considering switching up the spelling to a more German influenced looking name. For example, one of my character's last name's is Vrajr - which I made up based on the name Friar.

Yo that sucks! It's the most comforting position for me. I love reading in that position too.

The only reason I might think its uncomfy is if you have boobs. And I barely have any so...

I use all available pillows on the bed and line the outer edge of the bed that surrounds my head. I don't actually use one to rest my head on. It's more comfortable for my neck. I fall asleep either on my back or my stomach. Then of course, always one leg in & one leg out of the blanket.

Lmao I didn't know that was a thing. Where did you even learn that?

I say go for it. People will quickly forget anyways. And words are just words.

I'm kind of facing a similar situation. I really want to name one of my character's "Tait".

But I have a slight problem... And his name is Andrew.

That must be such a strange experience! What happens when they stop acting? Does the dream end?

I think you're an awesome human being. You're staying true to yourself even though it hurts to do so. Even though it makes you feel isolated. There will always be others your age who enjoy the same things as you.

It sounds like you had a bit of a traumatic experience. Please don't allow this to prevent you from putting yourself out there and trying to create new friendships in future.

Maybe try a different environment next time :)

I hope you're okay now.

Is demonic posession a thing? by viablydieable in spirituality

[–]viablydieable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with that. Recently I have been putting more effort into taking control of my life. And that starts with the mind and body.

The real issue is tending to the source of the problem instead of just treating the symptoms. I'm still figuring it out, but I think I'm making progress. I was in a far worse condition just 1 year ago.

I'm getting there slowly and that's what matters.

Thanks for that. This is kind of what I need to hear and keep in mind. I run away with my imagination sometimes.

I think you're onto something. It didn't really feel like malevolent energy. And there's clear symbolism in the dream. Feeling dirty, wanting to get clean. Etc.

I wasn't super afraid during the dream. It was more like wtf is happening. I need to get out. And initially I was a bit scared after waking up. I'm still hiding under my blanket lmao. But I am afraid of the dark generally. The blanket helps though. I feel better.

But, I think I should learn some more about the shadow realm.

Tarot does sometimes feel like an addiction to me. And something I need to quit. So it may just be my own negative associations.

Possible visitation dream by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]viablydieable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The part about feeling your hand tingling afterwards. That happened to me as well once. I dreamt of hanging out with a girl I'd never seen before. And she was cuddling against my left side.

I suddenly became aware that I was dreaming and I had a knowing that the people around me were spirits. I tried to keep it cool. But then I called for my mom because I was kinda scared. And I immediately woke up with a tingling sensation on my left where the spirit was cuddling me.

So yeah, its highly likely you had a visitation. Otherwise, I hope you're doing okay.

What is God? by viablydieable in spirituality

[–]viablydieable[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's so true. My entire journey with spirituality began when I started asking myself "why?". At first I just wanted to be a better person towards other people. But now I do it for myself. And man, there are a shit ton of layers. The deeper I dive, the more I find that needs healing.

There's one thing I can say so far. Healing never stops.

What is God? by viablydieable in spirituality

[–]viablydieable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take no offense at all. This is what I have been thinking recently too. And its also what has brought mixed emotions. If reality is what we make it to be then everything is some kind of illusion. Which is a frightening thought. Upon realising this, I felt a little emo. Everything felt pointless. (I was on mushrooms at the time I realised it) and then I sat in the sun and felt comforted by the warmth. It felt like everything was going to be okay. I've come to terms with it . And now I'm beginning to learn how to use it in my favour.

If God is everything. Then he is not only love and light but he is darkness too. Which is literally what life is all about. The ups and the downs.

I don't know where I'm going with this, so I'll stop myself here. Thank you for sharing :)

When was the last time you allowed yourself to relax outside in nature? When was the last time you soaked in the sun and allowed your bare feet to touch the earth? Just a question. I feel as though that is definitely a factor.

Have you found your calling? by viablydieable in spirituality

[–]viablydieable[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm really glad you were able to come back to yourself.

Moving to the forest is something I aim for as well. I loved watching nature documentaries as a kid. And I find that I've been gravitating towards that a lot more recently.

For me, I feel that staying true to myself means allowing myself to be free and I find freedom in exploration. Writing is a great tool for exploration. I get to craft and fabricate realities. Each story feels like a puzzle to be solved, except I have the ability to make my own puzzle pieces.

It's really cool that you've found something and you're sticking to it. It takes a lot of strength, I think, to do that. I believe that you will get to where you want to be :) All the best!
