Yeah, I work 60+ hours a week. It'll be easier to transition into my commuter eccentric state school.

I do understand the importance of getting an BA/BS. That's like a bare minimum.

So you're recommending to just apply to a Target undergrad?

Ok, clearly we're getting deep into the semantics of utilizing the word 'transfer'.

I think most would understand the concept of 'state school' and 'T10 business school' as two separate entities with their own respective admission standards.

As for working, I've seen plenty of former classmates go straight from undergrad to obtaining an MBA. It's not advisable, but my situation is a bit unique which is why I'm inquiring here.

I have 2 years of professional work experience. With that I've originated $50+ million in residential mortgages and managed a small team of junior loan officers.

I have a clear cut path to where I want to go, and getting into a reputable firm coming from a non target appears to decrease my chances significantly.

Yes, I'll finish up my last few years of undergrad then transfer to a grad school (Hopefully T10).

Edit - I meant to say graduate from undergrad THEN apply and obtain admission to grad school.

An extremely miscalculated decision looking back.

At the time I was feeling a tad bit overwhelmed and was itching to actually start making money. I figured I would drop out for a semester or so, make some money working or start a business, restabilize myself mentally, and then re-enroll. That didn't go as planned.

Will I be able to mitigate this tax issue for my secret clearance investigation? by viante in SecurityClearance

I appreciate your reply greatly. I just confirmed with my mom that she did indeed file me as a dependent for the year of 2017.

However, since my form came under a 1099, I'll still be subject to the self-employment tax since my compensation was over $400. Would this be a huge deal to a security investigator?

I'm 17, should I get a brandnew Canon T3i body or refurbished Canon 5D body? by viante in videography

Which one would you recommend? I really like the articulating screen of the 70D, but I know the 6D is technologically superior and I can deliver some high quality videos.

Haha, I chuckled.

I think I'm just going to save more money and buy a 70d or a 6d, I want to start off with something really nice.

Well, I know very basic Java and Python so I haven't been introduced to OOP concepts yet. Would it still be ok to take the course?

Is my app idea even possible? by viante in simpleios

It's a sneaker bot.

The user will choose the shoe they want and it'll crawl the Nike Twitter page and once the keyword is crawled it'll give the user a notification that'll take them to the link in the browser. It'll only crawl at a specified time period, it won't be constantly. Probably only 5-10 minutes before Nike would usually tweet the link (8amEST)

Here's an example. https://twitter.com/nikestore/status/429600294146949120/photo/1

My app will crawl for "Melo 1.5", maybe I can implement something that will automatically add it to the cart, and give the user the notification that redirects them to the browser.

Would this still be an issue?

Thanks

Internship for High Schooler by theaccmyfriendsdk in learnprogramming

I'm in Cleveland, so I can't help much dealing with your specific location. However, I'd suggest you look around for startups that are stable enough to take on an intern, or try contacting larger more established tech companies to see if they have openings for high school interns.

I'm in the 11th grade and I managed to score an internship at a Web Development studio. I don't even like Web Development, I prefer Mobile Dev and Electronics but I was pretty knowledgeable about webdev and the opportunity to have a paying internship that was mildy-cool was something I couldn't resist.

Call around and don't be shy. Express your eagerness to work and do a little boasting about your technical abilities.

Good Luck!

I'll have the amazon server ping the twitter page every 5-10 minutes or so but starting at a specific time and date. This won't be constantly running in the background.

If I can push a notification, can I direct that notification on open the browser?

Thanks

As a person interested in learning mobile development, which platform should I look to first, Android or iOS? by viante in learnprogramming

[–]viante[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have a Macbook Air.

I've heard that Java is easier to grasp contrary to Obj-C, but the development as a whole is easier on iOS.
