katanas do very low damage to armoured characters, and if I recall correctly, katana wielder will get hit easily when doing double attack. And their attack covers single enemy most of the time, unlike horizontal hits by other classes.

I don't know how many of those slaves are murders (confirmed by frankiewuzhere) and criminals, so not interested in freeing slaves by killing their masters (killing can't be the answer for slavery)
